It looks like the paragraph after that explains what he means. He did not say he had major health problems prior to Fin. use…
As a small child, I suffered from chronic ear and tonsil inflammation, for which antibiotics were prescribed. In my later years though otherwise physically healthy and function, I developed heavy allergies, felt persistently hungry, experienced bloating and a metallic taste in my mouth. Today, I know antibiotics kill off many beneficial bacteria residing in my colon and decrease biodiversity of the bacteria that form the gut microbiota.
It’s crap, all these things he took which helped. It’s staring to get really annoying and preachy. I’ve eaten like crap and do no exercise and I am much better than a year ago. The bottom line is this condition appears to have an acute phase and a long long long recovery time, maybe years. While info advocate healthy living and a good positive outlook, I think it’s nonsense that people have an idea what’s going on. This is a very complex condition, we KNOW it has affected neurological function and levels of neurosteroids in the central nervous system and has had a cascading affect on hormones, some variable among those affected.
My suspicion is healthy eating is good for your mental health, while not directly treating PFS. Many of us our so desperate we’ve completely eradicated any bad habits, which is obviously going to have a positive change. Time seems the only cure unfortunately.
If you think this is crap, look at the list of meds and vitamins/supplements I’m taking, many of which were mentioned on Propeciahelp by others. Been taking these for about a year and still suffer from the mental and emotional sides…(depression, anxiety, brain fog, adrenal fatigue) I’ve been in recovery for three and a half years. However, I noticed a 100% recovery story yesterday from CDNuts 5 years to recover.

8 months of raw diet did nothing but cause me to lose 25 pounds on my already skinny frame.
I also hate these posts pretending PFS is some kind of mental disorder, and that as soon as we let go of our resentment and sing koombahyah while holding hands we can all live happily ever after. That is fucking idiotic. This is a chemical imbalance caused by another chemical. Knowledge of who is at fault (Merck) has no bearing on that chemical imbalance. Make believe isn’t a valid solution to a real life problem.
Yes, that’s me in a nutshell. I gave up drinking except the occasional social dinner drink. Can’t smoke weed anymore, it makes me dizzy post-fin. In fact I’ve passed out on two occasions from smoking a small amount of weed, and almost passed out a few other times. towm8er’s regime would kill me. I’m glad when people recover because it shows that after almost 7 years there’s still hope. I think droits CFS theory makes the most sense in explaining many of my symptoms. Unfortunately the recovery protocol has often times made me feel worse, but still trying to tweak it to see if I can find something that works consistently.
I can’t help but laugh at some of the guys on this forum. How about you digg into why/how some people are recovering instead of chalking every single one up to voodoo or a conspiracy…
For example, this guy (and CDnuts recovery) used methylation (mthfr) supplements i.e. methylfolate, methylB12, active B vits, etc.
Read the thread on glutathione deficiency to see why this has significance…or…I suppose you could chalk it up to aliens or Merk shills, crawl back under your rock, and wait for the Foundation to give you your magic recovery pill. Doesn’t really matter to me either way…
Moonman, I dont think you undestood my point. My point was every person attributes their recovery to something different. If you look at the recoveries, or the claim recoveries, there is only one single common denominator…that is time.
