Surgery for gyno

I think I got gyno from Proscar, but am not 100 percent. The gyno is 7 on a 1-10 scale of severity, with 10 being the worst. I am around 20 lbs overweight though.

It seems like there are many options for fat removal surgery these days, including liposuction, cryolipolysis, ultrasound and perhaps more. Has anyone succeeded in getting rid of gyno permanently with surgery?

Did anyone’s gyno go away after years of Finasteride usage once they stopped taking the drug? I am hoping it does for me.

Thank you.

Are you still on the drug or have you quit? If you’re still on it, quit and see if the problems resolve. Also excercise and eat clean.

I have stopped and restarted a few times, but currently take one 1 pill every 2-3 days dose. Very hard to leave completely as I want to avoid losing more hair.

Any people quit Finasteride and lost their gyno?

If you are still on the drug, this is not the forum for you. This forum is for men with persistent side effects that did not abate after quitting.

From what I’ve read once gyno fat tissue forms, it likely needs to be removed via surgery. Weight loss may help reduce the appearance however the changes in breast tissue may remain.

If you plan to continue the drug, post on hair loss sites. Good luck.
