went to 3 urologists - If you have pre or post-Finasteride bloodtests, what hormonal changes have you encountered since discontinuing the drug (pls post your test results in the “Blood Tests” section and link to them in your post)?
blood tests done (twice) but no hormonal abnormalities. Testosteron a bit low, but in the normal range however. Other hormones (LH, FSH) very normal (average). - Anything not listed in the above questions you’d like to share about your experience with Finasteride?
erectile difficulies can maybe also be caused by the use of antidepressants (I take fluoxetin 10 mg, wellbutrin 150 mg, and deanxit every day). But when i stop taking the antidepressants for a few days, the problems don’t resolve, strangely. I’ve never stopped for a longer time. - Tell us your story, in your own words, about your Finasteride usage and side effects experienced while on/off the drug.
I wonder how a lack of DHT can affect the brain: women also don’t have as much DHT as men, have they?
I wonder to what extent the problems are emotional or truly physical. And if they are physical, whether they are caused by finasteride.
I heared stores of men taking finasteride for 10 years and not experiencing problems. However, i do experience them and am 100% sure they are not caused by stress, performance anxiety, depression or a phychiatric state of mind over which a person can have influence.
It would seem very bad to me if Merck would release a drug with truly devastating side effects.
