Just thinking,

Is there anything common between all the people with severe side effects? Can an admin compile all the data about the registered users and see what is common among them?

Because, many as they are, there are probably 20 times as many people with successful treatment of prostate and hair loss. If they were to make the choice again they would take FINA again.

Please don’t flame me. I have been taking 1mg for 3 months, an although I have experienced only minor side effects, after reading all of this here I am thinking I will decrease the dose to 0.5 mg and prolly even quit. I think there is about 5% chance of severe complications, but my life is too good now to take even that risk.

But to my topic again – may be those 5% suffered have had preexisting conditions? I am 29, doing weightlifting and have a healthy diet – I am in the best shape of my life. I have great mood and great motivation, and physically feel like a beast. For that reason, although I haven’t measured my T, I am quite sure it’s at least OK.

But my hair is still important, so right now I think I will decrease ot 0.5 mg untill I get married, and then quit

Hi. If it’s working I would not quit especially as many got in deeper trouble right after quitting, myself included. Many in here had high T (some have even bloodwork pre-fin) and were in good physical shape before this mess. And everyone here understands that we are in the extreme minority and are unlucky.

Onni, bad advice, sorry!!

This stuff can over time really fuck your prostate and body up. Even many years later.
There are many guys on here that took it for many years, problem free, and then all of a sudden started having problems, and/or noticed problems, then quit, now are fucked. Its not a good idea. The stuff is bad news!! All around!

I would have to disagree, the very vast majority has no problems with this drug. We become blind to that just because we ran into serious issues with it and there are extremely poor responders to every drug. Well, it’s up to the person to make that decision.

about the prostate problems…

I read a few of the studies posted here…

and correct me if I am wrong, but the conclusions were incoherent with the results of the study.

Saying that Fina increases high grade prostate cancer is, seems obvious, incorrect. The study reports that inthe Fina group the CANCER DIAGNOSED had higher percentage of high grade tumors than the CANCER DIAGNOSED in the placebo group. While this is TRUE, it is important to understand what it means.

Imagine the likelyhood of developing high grade and low (?) grade cancer in the whole human population. Lets say it is 50/50 for the sake of the argument. That means if you get 100 men diagnosed with cancer, 50 of them will be high grade. But if they had been subjected to Fina, and Fina reduces ONLY LOW GRADE, then those same 100 people could be 50 with high grade (again), 20 with low grade and 30 cancer free due to fina. But the percentage of high grade now is ALOT HIGHER, although Fina had no impact on it.

And the study reports that the high grade prostate cancer in fina group was no higher (lower actually) than the placebo group as a PERCENTAGE OF ALL PEOPLE IN THE GROUP. But because the low grade cancers are lacking in the Fina group, the high grade cancers are a higher percentage OF THE DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER.

I realize that was a terrible explanation, but may be you got my point anyway?

As for quitting, I am still single and I am willing to keep taking it to keep my hair full. However I already got myself a pair of small cutters and cut the 1.0 mg pill into two, hoping that with such a reduction and current good health I will be in safe waters. If I get married soon, I intend to quit tho.
