Hello fellow members,
I made a claim about persistent side effects of finasteride to local authorities in Finland. The claims adjuster replied to my claim:
"Finasteride is not known to cause persistent sexual side effects in patients. Your symptoms may be a result of lowered free testosterone, which Finasteride is not known to cause."
my jaw did drop when I read this. I’m now writing them again but I’m looking for studies that could pinpoint that finasteride does lower T. Is there anything like this available? I know merck states in thir labeling of propecia under side effets
-difficulty in achieving an erection that continued after stopping the medication;
-decrease in sex drive that continued after stopping the medication;
but nowhere can I find anything relating to testosterone. I know they go hand-in-hand, but of course the claims adjuster wont admit to this.
Also of great help would be if you could link finasteride labelings of your native countries that do state persistent side effects. I have read that the labelings have been changed in numerous countries already, but I am not able to find the correct local ones in say Sweden/UK/Italy/Germany online.
