Strange thing...after 7 months...

Hello, just a quick question:

-i took propecia for one month from january to february 2009
-i stopped for the well known sexual sides, it took me about 1-2 months to fully recover
-after that, i had normal sexual life till about 15 days ago.(about 7 months)
-15 days ago i had a problem getting an erection because the day before i got really drunk
-after that moment, since i’m quite anxious person, even if i feel perfectly ok with my sexual response, got normal morning wood etc etc, every time i try to make love with my girlfriend, even if i’m horny i get anxious and so i fail

I would just to know from you if, in your opinion, this scenario is all based on my anxiousness ( i think so) and i just need to relax or if finasteride may be the cause. I would like to underline that after my 2 months recovery i had 7 months of absolutely normal sex life. Thank you in advance.

Now you are giving yourself a mental complex via performance anxiety. Relax.

Based on the timeline you have provided, it sounds like you are most likely suffering from a performance anxiety problem which has nothing to do with Finasteride. Guys with long term problems from the drug usually have their issues manifest within 1-2 months of quitting drug.

Enjoy your life, remove any stresses and if you are having problems, stay away from booze and seek a psychologist or sexual counselor. Good luck.

Ditto what Mew posted. Booze and caffeine can boost anxiety too.

little new: couple of days ago i was with the girlfriend, we smoked a joint and after that i was very relaxed, we had very very good sex for couple of hours, while it was always rock hard. Does that confirm that i have just an anxiety problem? Thank you.
