Stoping propecia today, but have a few questions I'm hoping someone could help?

Ok, so I’ve been on and off propecia for years, the longest I’ve been on is the last 6 months. I’ve never had problems sexually but I noticed about a week ago that when I ejaculated nothing came out. Since then I’ve tried a few times and have been fine but am noticing my libido has slowly been going down.

Just today I started to look at pics on YouTube of before and after cause I noticed I wasn’t really growing any hair back and lost a lot recently. Then I came across all the horror story’s which I just want to say I’m so fuckin sorry, some things these dirty company’s will do for a dollar like take a mans manhood away. It got me thinking I need to get off ASAP.

My question is this, besides the low libido and the incident last week, if I stop now will I still experience sexual side effects? I know many will say “ask your doctor” but my doctor “yes’s” me to death with answers she thinks I want to hear. I work out 5 days a week min and am in what I think to be great shape, I only mention that because I know it has to do with testosterone levels.

Does anyone with any personal or medical experience with such a short amount of time know what am I to expect? I know there is no definitive answer but I thank you in advance for your responses.

I don’t think this is quite the right forum for you. People here represent the minority of ex-finasteride users who continue to experience side effects months or years after they’ve quit the drug.

If you quit and continue to experience side effects after 6-8 weeks, consider posting again.

There is no way to know that, but odds are probably on your side that you should recover from any issues over coming weeks, considering we are in the minority here.

Review this section, there are sticky posts on quitting, as well as the FAQ propeciahelp.com/faq

If you plan to continue the drug, do not post here. In meantime, if you plan to quit, relax and don’t stress yourself out. Hopefully you will recover as per drug manufacturer’s claims.
