What (if any) treatments have you undertaken to recover from your side effects since discontinuation of the drug?
I tried benzos every now and thenn in order to sleep. Alprazolam 2,5 and 5mg.

If you have pre or post-drug blood tests, what hormonal changes have you encountered since discontinuing the drug (please post your test results in the “Blood Tests” section and link to them in your post)?
Unfortunately, i cannot find my bloodtests. If I remember properly, everything was within normal ranges, but T, LH and FSH were either on the low normal tier or unsettlingly on the low spectrum. Prolactin a bit over the threshold.

Anything not listed in the above questions you’d like to share about your experience?

Tell us your story, in your own words, about your usage and side effects experienced while on/off the drug.

The biggest mistake of my life was accepting my parents/derm opinion and start accutane. After a while, all my sebaceous glands were anihilated (with the promise that it d be temporary. Damn them all) so i developed extreme dryness. Joint pain and back pain (which luckily isnt with me anymore) also appeared aswell as a humongous depression. I have to admit i have predisposition to mental illness in my family, but never ever had i felt such a thing before. Along with that appeared the libido issues and lack of motivation and sleep.
The derm played dumb and said nothing was related to isotretionoin except the ‘‘temporary’’ dry skin.
After that they made me jump on sertraline and holy cow, that thing broke me even more. I was unable to orgasm and the sensitivity of the shaft was similar to my elbow’s while on it although i got hypersexual for some reason.
As you can guess, i may have some issues when it comes to say which drug caused what.

So sad to hear what you’ve been through, accutane for mild acne… That’s borderline illegal and very much malpractice by the way. And you were not even 18 at the time (or barely, didn’t do the math).

A life lost for nothing. If one had very severe acne it might be worth to gamble with accutane, but mild? Fuck no.

Isotretionin, Finasteride, Sertraline are marketed via online pharmacies, with an online prescription by an online questionnaire. 8 year old children can order it by giving the right answers in the fucking questionnaire saying they are a 30 yo adult.

Why for the devil is the Berlin cocain taxi illegal and this danderous shit is sold by HEXAL one of the biggest pharma generics resellers?! Why the cocain dealers are criminal and the pharma dealers are honorious people. The really dangerous drugs like Fentanyl and Heroin are all pharma products.

Sorry, stories like yours

feeling like a victim, a corpse left behind on the side of the road by the pharma

make me so unbelievable angry of the untouchable carbon faces of the pharma cartel leaders.

You have a very poetic way to :writing_hand: write.

Thank you, my friend. I appreciate some understanding.
And believe it or not, but the last thing i wrote in English before this one probably was a High School essay!

Yeah, its a shame.
Some days jumping out of bed is too much effort and ive had suicidal thoughts for years now.
I know my parents didnt have bad intentions, but i cant help feeling like a victim.
And yeah when i look at the pictures of my old self with that totally common and shitty acne, i want to extract my eyes with a spoon so bad

Just crazy that doctors will prescribe drugs like this to 17 year olds with normal acne.

I’m really sorry about happened to you @Anton412 . These symptoms are not easy to deal with at any age, but I imagine it’s especially hard as a teenager.
