I’ve had my prostate feel swollen and sore as well as burning these last 14 years with PFS but for the last 5 days I got stabbing/shooting pain in my anal sphincter while it feels like my prostate is burning/swollen. The pain is the worst in the morning right when I first get up. I also think my testicles hurt too at one point. I went to a urologist and everything came back normal including ultrasound. They think its pelvic floor pain caused by stress and put me on alfuzosin. But this feels PFS related - anyone else experience this?
Are your doctors aware of pfs and that you have it? Do they acknowledge it in any way?
There’s some reassurance to be had that everything looks ok on the scans, but annoying that, once again we don’t have real understanding of what’s going on.

I had this too for a couple weeks. It subsided affer a while
I had this for some years when my PFS was in the early stages. Every morning it would be painful and I would have to go urinate to make it less painful, so the testicles were sore and just above the bladder. I knew Something felt very off. Defiently looking back now it was PFS symptom. I tried alpha 1 blockers that helped with the pain, but then Dr’s prescribed more 5ari to alleviate the “BPH” Symptoms, this only made my PFS worse obviously. Don’t take any of those natural remedies for BPH that include 5AR inhibitors.
Also I’ve had these stabbing pains u describe.
Fast forward a couple years I don’t have this pain anymore just no activity down there. Dead feeling . Terrible. I also tried the pelvic FL approach, tried stretches, went to a specialist in that regard who poked and prodded me in all the uncomfortable places, while this never really brought back any type of recovery it might have reduced some pain. Just try the stretches and resistant pelvic floor stretches, I’d say that’s the best approach. Hot baths also used to help temporarily. It’s also called CPPS I think if I remember correctly. Or something like that.
Also forgot to add that also in the early stages of PFS years I would get this spasm and same pain quite bad when having alcohol. Not anymore
