St.John's wort a 5 alpha-reductase inhibitor??

Hi guys,

I’ve been experiencing a lot of anxiety and I am considering St.John’s wort. What has been your experience with it?

Did some research and found a study (see below) that suggested that it may be a 5 alpha-reductase inhibitor. The study also found after two weeks on St.John’s wort that he combined concentrations of the 5alpha-reduced steroids, AoS and epiAoS, significantly declined following treatment in all subjects (p = 0.02), and in males (p = 0.04).

Thoughts?

I work in mental health so I’ve been doing CBT, cardio, mindfullness meditation and taking a bunch of supplements (passion flower, vitamin D, zinc, inositol, garlic, t boosters etc.) and have only seen a bit of an improvement.

Thanks in advance,

Jay

did you try it out?

I didn’t Vincentv, too afraid that it might fuck things up like Fin. Did you try it?

If that is true it will make your anxiety worse.

made me feel like shit. My serotonin as measured in urine is already over range high.
