spstriken blood test

here are my blood test report. I got them test on 9th of Ocotober. Clearly I am at very low end of T.
LH 1 1-9 IU/L
FSH 3 1-12 IU/L

Testosterone 8.9 8.0-38 nmol/L
Prolactin 7 <18 ug/L

free testisterone 24.8 25.0 -80.0 pmol/L

any comments or suggestoins are welcome.

SPstriken,

Your T levels are extremely low, free is off the chart. How are you feeling?
I don’t know much about saw palmetto, but it seems odd to me that it would effect hormones like FSH and LH in your pituitary gland.

Did your dr prescribe anything at all for you? FSH and LH are obviously involved with communicating with the testes and how much semen & T to produce maybe clomid could work for you.

Clomid stimulates the hypothalamus to, in turn stimulant the anterior pituitary gland (aka hypophysis) to release gonadotrophic hormones.

The gonadotrophic hormones are follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH - aka interstitial cell stimulating hormone (ICSH)). FSH stimulates the testes to produce more testosterone, and LH stimulates them to secrete more testosterone. This feedback mechanism is known as the hypothalamic-pituitary-testes axis (HPTA), and results in an increase of the body’s own testosterone production and blood levels rise, to, in part, compensate for the diminishing levels of exogenous steroids. This is vital to minimise post cycle muscle losses.

yes my T level off the chart but I think this value is not reliable as I gave blood at 4’O clock and I had bad sleep night before plus was sick. I belive my value is still 29 or 30 though this is still low.
I balls are still smaller than they used tobe. they were very heavy befor SP. yes saw palmetto is big pioson.
sp or fin, or AAS any thing that distrubs your HPTA is bad. I believe anybody whose values are off his base line is hypo gonadic.
I feel very bad. joint pain in hands and feet, bad vision bad digestion, indeed going for endoscopy soon. I feel cleary my insternal skin has become weak and thin. easily bruised now.
any suggestion what herbal med will help. I am very scared now. I had wonderful sexual power. very good body.

spstriken,

Many endos fuss quite a bit over total serum T and indicate it should be drawn as early in the AM as possible. That said, LH below 2 on three or so tests indicates secondary hypogonadism. FSH of 3 is just slightly above what most endos would consider to be secondary.

If you test again, try to make it before 10 AM, and get SHGB tested instead of free T - the free T test is very inaccurate (see Boston 2009s thread above, much better to calc it).

For more on free T and why the SHBG is more accurate see:

thanx alot for your advice.
did any of you did clomid treatment? if yes what was the outcome?Does higher LH mantains afer the treatment or it dips even below the level before the treatment. I am afraid that my LH after the treatment will not sustain and eventually will go lower then present value making my harmone worse.
I live in Canada and don’t know how to get clomid. I talk to Doc, and you know they claim they are the best and rest are idiots.

How you calculate free T with SHBG?

Guys Please comment. I think my iron and Prolactin is not normal.

Prolcactin 16 <17.99
Ferritin 78 31 - 79 reduced iron stores.

Estradiol <60 <160.99

I just noticed my prolactin was 7 on october
Prolactin 7 <18 ug/L

and now it has doubled.
is it the cause of my declining T-level?

sps

Seems high for a man. I believe Shippen likes to keep it between 3-5.

I also had almost the same prolactin level but haven’t tested it in a few years so don’t know if it’s since come down.

Elevated Prolactin can inhibit Testosterone secretion. Natural treatments to try and reduce it include Vitex (Chasteberry) as noted here propeciahelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1149

Drugs include Cabergoline and Bromocriptine. Discuss further with doc.

First my out of range T3/rT3 ratio. It should be 10 or above but mine is 6.3 which indicates thyroid issue.
rT3= 17.3 ng/DL
rT3= 17.3 ng/DL----> 17.3x .0154=0.27 nmol/L questdiagnostics.com/dms/Doc … _units.pdf
T3= 1.7 nmol/L
T3/rT3 1.7/0.27 = 6.296

according stopthethyroidmadness.com/rt3-ratio/

What result am I looking for? With the free T3/RT3 ratio, healthy ratios will be 20 or higher. With a total T3/RT3 ratio, you are looking for 10 or higher.
