Sonder's story

After i got PFS I can not run and exercise more, (I used too run 1 hour 5 times a week)
Now after 20 min. Exercise I get sick, Nausea, headache, no appetite, fatique and

Is that a good sign my hormones going up and down,(showing my body is function)
and can I expect that someday my hormon levels would stay normal?(Not go down).

Sorry for my English

Yes. I suffer terribly for days and even weeks after cardiovascular exercise. Once I ended up in bed with my muscles twitching, extreme depression, pains all over my body, very severe brain fog.

2 years since I crashed coming off finasteride and I can finally feel the pump from weightlifting again. I haven’t done any hard cardio for a while so it will be interesting to see if my reaction has changed in that department too. I went for a fairly long jog last week and felt bad after.

I’m not sure if it’s exercise intolerance but it looks like you’re hormones are unstable after finasteride hence the major fluctuations.

Your exercise intolerance is because something is holding back your adrenals from producing enough cortisol. This drug has somehow caused our ENTIRE endocrine system to malfunction.

I used to feel like dirt after any basic form of exercising – actually even just walking for a couple of miles fatigued me terribly. Now that a few years have gone by, I can run several miles and weight lift without feeling like crap afterwards.

Hej Martinm
Thanks for your answer.
I will fill out a member template.

Do think it is okay too jog?
Can I do somethings about the Exercise problem, or is that just a part off PFS?

Hej Daveydc82

Good too hear that you can Exercise now.
Does that mean that I just have too be patiense, mayitby jog a little.

Do you have a comment to my hormones going up and down?
Is that a good sign my hormones still can rise by itself (naturally).

Thanks for all your replies, since I’m new to this Forum, I have to get used to communicating this way.
Here is my story - short version:

I’ve been taking Propecia for 13 years, without any side effects at all. (Only benefits)
Stopped in June 2011 and since September I started having all the known side effects.
Depression, anxiety, really bad sleep, ED problems, trouble when I get pulse up exercising, appetite problems and my whole hormon crashed.
My situation changes from day to day, especially my mood problems are bothering me a lot.
But I guess my biggest problem is getting my sleep, since I cannot recuperate my body without nights of good sleep. I constantly wake up with enternal tremor.

Most of my problems are common problems for you all, I guess, but I hope that time will take care of this hopeless situation.

Does anybody know anything about the hormones getting up and down when taking bloodtests at the doctors office?
Can this hormone balance repair itself?
I really don’t want to take any kind of TRT, so maybe time will heal/change this system?

No Sex. No desire Its a life sentence. Persistent post-Finasteride Hypogonadism. Nerves becom permanently degraded cant be repaired.
For the lack of orgasm and libido ther is no treatment.
Permanent alter important neurotransmitters.
Important neurosteroid derivatives are unnecessarli lowered (collateral Damage).
Persistent depression.
Persistent problems may not be reversible.
Hormon therapy for the rest of life.
It is as something shuts of Biologically, and stays that way.
There are persistent central cognitive issues.
Persistently change the brain`s chemistry.
Persisten irreversible male sexual Dysfunction.
Persisten sexual, physical & neurological effects.

PERSISTEN - IRREVERSIBLE - REST OF LIVES - PERMANENT - NO TREATMENT - LIFE SENTENCE - PERMANENTLY DEGRADED.
All very STRONG word.

Could The Doctors be wrong about this?

Are they to negative?

Maybe there will be a cure someday?

                                  I just wanr some HOPE.

For now, these bullet points describe our situation. And yeah, it sucks! But some people here and outside the forum have started important research to find out more about our condition which will hopefully give us new insights. Things are happening, but they will take a long time and whether they lead to a cure or at least a relieve of symptoms is impossible to predict. But we sure as hell are going down trying!

For now, all you can do is accept your situation, improve your diet, take care of yourself, take some usefull supplements and improve your life as much as you can under this condition.

Good luck and keep us updated!

hormone therapy is not bad. But if it does not work it sux.

I wouldnt care about injecting hormones for the rest of my life If i felt back to normal.

You could try some testosterone and see what happens.

Thanks vincentv.

I will try some Testosterone and see what happens.

Have you tryed Testosterone?

I have tried almost eveything under the sun. I just tried trenbolone yesterday.

The things that have helped are.

Low doses of testosterone taken evey other day - injected. At first felt a great sense of well being. But this lasted 8 days. After that I lost my appetite.

And I have recovered my libido with anti estrogens 3 times now.

You can take a look at my tests. They are a bit different to yours though

Your E2 looks low. Do you have SHBG results?
