Somebody summarize for me-PLEASE!

Can anyone break it ALL down for me? Propecia has killed my libido, changed my penis tissue, shrunk my erections, and all this with only a couple months of use.

Is there a cure especially for size? Are there cures, not just ‘treatments’ but cures for any of these side effects from this drug?

Please help, thank you. You my email me if you like jtnlh@yahoo.com.

In your case, I would see physician immediately, get a blood test, and get a referral to see an endocrinologist.

The blood test should include testosterone, free testosterone, LH, FSH, TSH, estradiol, SHGB, and prolactin.

Then, if possible, go on TRT without delay to see if you can restore your penile tissue.

If this is successful, you may later want to attempt to “jump start” your system, so that you do not require lifetime TRT.

Finding a good physician experienced in finasteride-related matters, if possible, is certainly a plus as well.

Good luck.

Thanks for the tip, seeing a dr. is a huge priority, can anyone detail the effects of trt? I have had a vasectomy so not having kids from it aren’t a problem, any other issues?

How do you ‘jump start your system?’

What B.S. to cover up and hide the TRUE side effects and then advertise these effects go away with discontinuing use.

Actually I would attempt to restart your HTPA before jumping on TRT as TRT is a lifelong commitment with its own set of issues (sterility unless used in conjunction with hCG, management of other hormones, ie Estradiol).

Jumpstarting your system would involve trying such drugs as Clomid (see Study in “Drug Protocols section”), hCG, or Nolvadex as they act to boost endogeneous Testosterone production – but should only be done under the care of a competent Endo/Dr who knows the dosages, protocols and will monitor closely via bloodtests.

Check out some of the “Penile Rehabilition” studies and comments in the “Sexual Side Effects” subforum.

L-Arginine 2-5grams per day, low-dose Viagra before bed to promote nocturnal erections, and Horny Goat Weed (according to the boys at peyroniesforum.net ), Acetyl L-Carnitine can all be useful to help stimulate erections… which help promote oxygenated bloodflow to prevent fibrosis/shrinkage. Full-spectrum Vitamin E has been used as a frontline treatment for Peyronie’s Disease (200-400iU/day) so you may also want to consider that.

Also, if its an issue with having low Testosterone you could try some natural treatments like Maca, Tribulus, Zinc 50mg/day, Tongkat Ali (Longjack), garlic capsules (see study in Naturals section) to try and boost T naturally… in addition to heavy, consistent weight training and proper diet.

But you really need bloodtests to see what is going on with your hormones before you can evaluate next steps, wether that be bringing down a high Estrogen level or trying to boost a low Testosterone level, etc.

Check the “Recoveries” section for some info… Dr Shippen claims to have helped some men recover, in the range of 50-75% of patients… but others have tried Clomid, hCG, TRT and felt no different.

Everyone’s body and endocrine system is different so your response to medications/treatments will vary.

No it isn’t Mew. Many people go on TRT for a few months at a time. Millions of men across the globe.
I would try it for two months definately my man.
I wished I had when my endocrinologist had offered it four months ago because maybe I wouldn’t have prostate issues right now.
I’ve heard TRT can make your prostate grow back to its normal size again.

See, what I still think has been most people’s problem is our sexual dysfunctions were all a cause of androgen deficiency which caused our prostates to shrink. Then my prostate got infected.
I think most of us have a physical prostate issue.

I would try the TRT for two months, just make sure not to take TOO high a dosage, and see if you can’t get things moving in the right direction, and then see if you can get a good endo (one that recognizes fin problems, like one of the ones listed in the “doctors” section) and then see if you can try some other stuff.

Wish guys like this would come back
