I 100% agree with this school of thought. That is why I am going away to complete a 22 day water only fast. After which I am going to eat a raw food diet for a period of about six months. This will be my second attempt at the raw food diet and my second extended fast. After my first fast and raw food diet last year, I felt significant improvement in all areas of my health. Improvements that have stayed. The only problem is, the nutrient rich diet is extremely difficult to stay on. You don’t realize how powerfully addictive cooked food is until you try and give it up. I have high hopes for the this next trial and I will definitely keep this forum updated as to my progess.
It may work for everything except neurons. Almost all the cells in your body except neurons turn over every seven years.
That my friend, like many traditional medical views, is completely wrong. New studies have shown that neurons do regenerate. This just makes sense. Why would they be different? Why are they special? You can say well it’s because they make up your brain, and this is true. But what’s also true is that they are living, functioning cells, just like other cells in your body. To think that they never die and are not replaced doesn’t follow any type of logic. Nerves do regrow, albeit at a much slower rate than other cells, but they do regrow. These things are microscopic. They are cells. ALL cells duplicate themselves and replace themselves when their usefull life has come to. I know it’s not great to just talk off of the cuff here without providing any scientific documentation, but seriously if you just googles around you would find this information to be true. Here are a few:

The beauty of this is like most things the medical establishment thinks they “know” the reality is they don’t know much. Over 500 years ago they “knew” the earth was flat. They “knew” that the sun revolved around the earth. These are very broad statements and really not all that specific to what we are talking about, but the point is the same. How many times have you first heard that something is good for you and then 10 or 15 years later the same establishment that condoned it, turns around and condemns it? It happens all the time everyday and will continue to happen. It is the nature of things. People turn to Doctors for difinitive answers which in most cases, they don’t have. Learn to take responsibility for your health. No one else will. Research. Study.
So far no doctor can tell us what is wrong. We have to do everything in our power to make our bodies as healthy as possible. There can be no harm in that. It may fix the problem, it may not. What are the alternatives?
Agreed with most of what you state. However…
Lawsuits. If people on this site would take ACTION, things might change and answers may be found.
“How many times have you first heard that something is good for you and then 10 or 15 years later the same establishment that condoned it, turns around and condemns it?”
Good point. I had a dermatologist that did that once. lol
Mew is completely right. We need to take legal action here in the US so that this can get media attention/ research attention.
Right, so for US citizens – step right up and file your claim and start a class action. Call up some firms, present your case and the relevant research materials, and see if you can get the ball rolling so others can join in.
If nobody bothers to do anything, nothing will get done. Action is the only thing that will get us the help we need.
Neurons regenerate as well and the time frame for the neural system and pathways to regenerate is around 2 years. This is what I read in an medical magazin about steem cell therapies and nerves. This is the time frame which only matters when you remove the neural stressor first.
Right. That last sentence is key. “Remove the neural stresser first.” This can be, among many things, something as simple as processed food that you are eating. Everything you put into your body comes into contact with all of your cells. Many of these things were never meant to do so. You have to remove all physical bodily stressors if you ever think you are going to heal completely. We take our bodies for granted until they’re fucked up and don’t work right any more. Then we expect a speedy recovery or some magic bullet, potion or pill to come in and save the day. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work like this.
This is why so many people are depressed these days. Shit diet and poor lifestyle choices. Depending on your genetic disposition, you may get heart disease, cancer, diabetes or depression. Or, if your genetically gifted, you may get none. But if you remove the causes that trigger your specific weakness, you don’t have to worry about it at all. Depression is like any other illness. It’s causes are organic in nature. They just happen to effect the brain rather then some other body part. We have to focus on building health, not “curing” sickness. Thinking of something in terms of a cure is an endless game of guess what next. If you focus on building health on a cellular level, with diet, exercise, rest and plenty of sunshine, the results should speak for themselves. This is my approach. so far, so good. I have many months to go.
