Along with the muscle atrophy on my face, the texture of the skin is much, much smoother, almost like wax.
I had read that this can be a symptom of hypogonadism generally. Even having had this condition for a while now,
I haven’t really got used to this. It’s very noticeable when I have a close shave especially, as I used to get a five o’clock
shadow but now the growth has decreased a lot.
do you have dry red skin? Is your skin ever flushed red? Hands as well?
Yes to all three, though not all the time.
I have the exact same thing – waxy skin all over, particularly on my face and lips. And when I shave, it’s like a mild dermabrasion, which can be painful. So I usually shave just twice per week.
I have always thought it was because I took Accutane 10 years earlier. If you’ve ever taken Accutane, there is probably a lnk.
