Simple Tips. Please contribute

I think it would be good to give simple tips to each other on how to alleviate/cope with some of our symptoms. I think these tips should NOT involve taking supplements or other medicines. Simple practical tips to be more comfortable.

My first tip is rest and sleep.

I feel so much better for having slept. If I cannot fall asleep, I will stay in bed, lights out, and will not look at my phone. To stop my mind racing I will listen to a podcast. I woke a couple of times in the night and was tempted to get up but by concentrating on the podcast, I was able to fall asleep again. I have the volume very low so when I do fall asleep it doesn’t wake me again. Choose a podcast with just voices, no music or sound effects Set a sleep timer - I didn’t last more than ten minutes. Even if you can’t sleep, you might learn something interesting.

Everything’s pretty much been already discussed, if you have a problem you can search the forum and find a topic about it.

I do think there should be some section on the website that covers most of the basics though.

This wouldn’t have helped in my crash months, but I now find something that can help me while i’m trying to get to sleep (I get between 0-4 hours), or at least rest, is watching ASMR videos of like simple brushing sounds or whatever. There’s a lot on YouTube, thankfully. I have headphones you can wear in bed that are like a wrap.
