I think the main reason a lot of people haven’t been having success with these meds is because they have sexual side effects in and of themselves. They are actually pretty toxic substances.
They have other SERMs that are newer such as raloxifene (Evista) and Toremifene (Fareston). Supposedly these substances have less of the toxicity issues and less side effects, so maybe one would have more luck re-starting the HPTA with these substances.
Not only that, but there are SERMs that are actually coming out soon, such as bazedoxifene, arzoxifene, and lasofoxifene.
I don’t really know much about these substances, but it definitely brings hope that such things are coming out. And I really haven’t heard anything from anyone using any of the “second generation” SERMs.
I’ve heard a very good product for PCT is Dermacrine Sustain. It is a topical spray with estrogen blocking and testosterone elevating properties, I will be ordering some of this stuff for myself very soon.
