Side-Effects Increase After Working Out

My side-effects increase after working out. What could be the cause of this?

Josh

Josh oddly enough I was going to post the same subject although you beat me to it. I just ended an experiment yesterday, that being I discontinued any form of resistance training for a month to observe if there were any positive effects. In my case the reason why I chose to do this is that I noticed everytime I lifted weights it excarbated a dull pain on the left side of my head in the area around 11 o’clock. I almost wouldn’t call it a pain, more like a strain or tension of some sort and I eventually began to notice that on my off training days it was almost as if there was some harmony up there which allowed me to relax and ultimately would cause some benefits down below. Long story short during the month off I’ve been experiencing morning wood! This hasn’t happened to me in a very long time in fact I can’t remember the last time it did. I truly believe there is some sort of neurotransmiter inbalance as of the result of taking Propecia, and perhaps this is where Gaba might come into play, the lack of it or inhibition of it may be assisting in the lack of excitement down below because of the constant strain. Last week I was even begining to get some mild wood when cute girls were walking on by so I just don’t know what to make of it. I’m going to start working out again although not nearly as often as I used to. By the way if you jog as I do and I mean slow long jogs without any strain, they tend to help.

I was thinking that too.
Guys I honestly think that its a problem with a swollen prostate, and blood flow.
In men with irritated prostates (and its not always infections or bacterial) they can have hormone problems, because all those tubes pass right throught the prostate. I think its prostate inflammation and blood flow, and this is why I think that strain of any sort is not good.
I agree with the slow jogging though, its funny, I was just doing that and thinking that yesterday. I felt it was lossening things up, and increasing blood flow.
But again, too much stress and tension I think exacerbates the problem.
I think we may be onto something, bcause again, when I don’t fel the pain, I don’t have the pee problem, morning wood is better, I feell like I’m better.
I think prostate is inflamed! otherwise known as a form of prostatitis.

Hey guys,

Pardon me if you don’t agree with me.

When I first joined this forum, I was a strong believer that Propecia and Proscar are the cause of me ED problems. I had taken Propecia and Proscar everyday for 3 years and stopped last year.

If you have visited the “General” section of this forum and read about my post on Sexual Exhaustion(SE), you would know that I now believe that our problems are caused by over-masterbation/ejaculation. I guess you guys must have had too much sex or masterbation since young. I also had this unhealthy lifestyle.

I used to believe that if I exercise regularly, I would be sexually strong and have endless + plenty of sex until old age. I was stocked when I started to develop ED problems!! How can a young man (late 20s when I had it) who exercise regularly have ED problem? My doctor said this is “menopause” and it happens to young guys, he suggested TRT. He disagreed with me that Proscar was the culprit. I didn’t buy that and refused to let TRT take over my life. Many questions came to my mind -> Why am I so stupid to waste my money on finasterides that ruin my life? or did I overtrained myself that led to Zinc deficiency? or did I injure my testicles somewhere?

After visiting “http://recover.forumup.org”, I noticed that many guys (both young and old) over there are having similar problems as us.

I’m eating very healthy and don’t have a lot of sex now (1-2 times a week. You may not be able to accept that but this is better than none). I exercise more than I did before I stopped proscar. I believe excerise can boost the T-level in our bodies (it’s working and I’ve constant high libido but no sex). Trust me, if you stop excerising you problem will get worse.

Good luck…

Sorry, you’re right, I don’t agree with you. I doubt many others will either…

From what I recall from the old forum your symptoms were not severe and you had mild ED issues, but no problems with libido.

For the majority of men here, Finasteride is definitely responsible for their sexual dysfunction. It says right on the label of the drug that it may cause decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, reduced ejaculate, and gynocemastia.

And funnily enough, these side effects DID occur in perfectly healthy men who, prior to taking Finasteride, lived a fully functional and healthy sex life. I am one of those men. Within 3 days of taking it, I experienced ED, genital numbness and difficulty getting turned on.

Furthermore, are you suggesting that we all ignore the scientific data that has been posted in the Finasteride and Other Studies sections of this website? If so, I’m sorry but you are really out there on this one.

While I agree sexual exhaustion is a very real phenomenon, it is most definitely not the CAUSE of Finasteride-related sexual dysfunction. Many men had such dysfunctions while on the drug and have yet to recover to the way they were prior to taking it.

The side effects that have yet to resolve for many men here have NOTHING to do with sexual exhaustion… in many cases, most of us aren’t even interested in sex anymore due to a non-existant sex drive thanks to Finasteride. So how could we be sexually exhausting ourselves if we don’t even have the desire to have sex or masturbate?

An interesting theory, and while I’m sure there’s some truth to it in that moderation is a good idea, in no way do I believe it to play any part in our syndrome. It is well known than Finasteride affects and can alter men’s hormones, affects the HTPA, and can cause sexual dysfunction. The studies prove it, and I’m more inclined to believe scientific fact than theory.

Anyway, not ragging on you, just the idea of sexual exhaustion causing our problems. Take it easy…

No problem. I might be too quick to conclude that SE is the main cause.

Aside from the debate, why didn’t you stop Finasteride immediately after 3 day? If I had experienced ED earlier, I wouldn’t have stopped only after 3 years. Sigh….
