Side effects after one week of using finasteride

Hello guys, I need your help on whether what is happening to me is normal or not?

I am 20y old guy experiencing brutal hair loss. I was using minoxidil 5% for a year 2x a day and results are not good, my hair contiunues to fall so i hoped on finasteride.
I only took 3 finasteride tablets of 1mg each for 10 days (I planned to start with a lower dose) and I am already felling some side effects. I have slight pain in right testicle and i noticed that i can not get a full erection even though i have not masturbated for 3-4 days.

Has this happened to any of you and is your advice to reduce the dose or stop finasteride completely?

Hello, welcome to the forum. Before I reply, this is a forum which is for people who have problems AFTER using finasteride and other related drugs. Because of this, you may not post here while using finasteride. We do not give advice on how to use finasteride or on hairloss. It is our position that finasteride is not a safe drug, people here universally regret taking it.

Some people will have had a very similar experience to you but that does not mean that your path will mirror theirs. To my knowledge, there is no advice on how to safely discontinue finasteride.

If you have problems after using finasteride, this community will try to support you. But this community is not for people currently taking the drug.
