Short article on brain fog

Do we think brain fog is definitively caused by hypothyroidesque symptoms, adrenal fatigue or candida etc or due to a huge drop in androgen levels.

Luckfax:

We don’t know what it’s caused by. It could possibly be caused by all of these things cumulatively or seperately. Know one has the answers you seek.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but you need to calm down. Your flying through the board making posts that add no value to the general information base. Stop, breath, and READ the studies. Do research. Stop asking questions and making comments that NO ONE can answer. Really, it’s of no help.

I’m not going to say what it was, but the PM’s you send me are the same way. There is no possible way anyone can answer the questions you ask and there is nothing to be said for the general comments you make.

Calm down brother, really.

My sides are so extreme it’s impossible to remain calm. It’s a nightmare.

No one for sure, but it’s listed on every website displaying low thyroid side effects. Hell, we have most of the other symptoms too. Where theres’ smoke, there’s likely a fire.

Luckfax,

I agree buddy. If you’re not in a good place right now, take a few nice breaths and allow us to carry you. I don’t think in your state you’ll come up with many answers so concentrate on ‘surviving’; get through the day, try and do a couple of things you enjoy, lie on the couch and watch some TV and drink a few cups of tea.

I’m personally feeling quite good, and certainly with a few guys here I think we are hitting on something that could be very positive.

Take any pressure you have off yourself. Just try and exist. Get back to basics. I’ve been where you are many times and I know where you’re at. Get up, eat breakfast, read the newspaper, drink some tea, watch the world cup etc, go for a walk.

What is most likely is that we’ll crack this in the near future and you can start the healing process.

Should you feel at a loose end, injecting a supraphysiological dose of T may benefit you. I’m saying this because it may be appropriate thing to do in your situation, and such a measure has saved my life in the past. I wouldn’t be here now if it wasn’t for supra T.

Cognitive symptoms are likely caused by drug’s inhibition of Allopregnanolone and THDOC, both neurosteroids which can no longer act on GABA-A receptors in brain, low levels of which are responsible for depression, cognitive decline, mood disorders, and anxiety. Not to mention low levels of Allopregnanolone are correlated with symptoms of Alzheimer’s, and that 5AR plays a vital role in myelin production in the brain, for nerve conduction (ie, no myelin = slowed impulses = slow thoughts).

It has also been shown that DHT, 3a-diol G and nitric oxide, all of which Finasteride affects, also exert their effects in the areas of sexual and psychological behaviour, as well as REM sleep and memory formation.

In my opinion it’s usually best to stick with the facts about what the drug is known to do and work from there, rather than look for alternative theories.
