Sexual Thoughts - T on the brain

A reasonable number of guys seem to have improving function, but still lower libido (myself included).

The last sticky posted on studies - “Merck BS…” is actually very interesting. Although not a new article and a lot of what it said has been mentioned elsewhere it does talk about the effects of T and DHT on the brain and nocturnal erections.
They claimed that while there was no significant reduction of the type 1 iso-enzyme (the one converting T to DHT in the brain) during the 12-week study, they acknowledge that finasteride does inhibit type 1 in higher conentrations (perhaps some individuals are more susceptible or there can be an accumulation over time, especially if DHT levels continue to fall while on the med.)

As my T levels have risen (and DHT appears to be following) I have an increase in sexual thoughts (from the start when first off Propecia, when a very attractive lady passing me wouldnt turn my head to now when my eye catches them a mile off!), and notably more frequent sexual dreams (I didnt have a single one for more than a year) and increasing nocturnals (amount and strength).

I know another recovering user who has reported similar patterns.

This may all seem obvious as rising T (esp free) will cause these results but I am just looking for trends.

I dont want this thread to become a complex debate about proven/ unproven hormonal effects, but raise it more to discuss symptoms and to see if other sufferers have experienced similar effects.

Happens the same with me. Libido is still low but improved, nocturnal erections are there nearly every night but for some reason I´m still having problems and a lot of time has passed. Wondering if I´ll be the same I was before this shit.
