why did you travel to so many countries to find a urologist? Didn’t the urologists in your city want to do the therapy you needed (rectal examination + massage + antibiotics)? I am also sceptical of the urologists that I have visited. They say everything is ok but I doubt that.
I think I could also suffer from Prostatitis.
Did the treatment already improve your situation? Can you please explain a bit what it did to you?
By the way I am from Germany and I am now seeing doctors in the US.

I am first considering taking antibiotics. I remembered some people taking Ciprofloxacin. However, you mentioned it is a dangerous drug. Can you tell me a bit more about it.
What about the antibiotics you take at the moment. Are they dangerous?

You stated that the doctor said anything was possible since you have low DHT. Did you test DHT level? It so, what were the results. I tested mine and they were right in the middle of the range.
The overall question is how the HELL can fin cause this? Did you have prostate issues prior to taking fin?

how old are you? i heard in my sex class that prostate cancer has a large percentage of men immune to it when you reach a certain age (like 30 or 40). isnt it from not having your prostate cleaned out? he said something about little pompus things or something that they one by one cut out and you won’t get prostate cancer if you do it.
This is a little bit of a random for this post, but I just wanted to throw out there that I know a prominent urologist in NYC that has spent the last 10 years of his career trying to study finasteride and the downstream risk of cancer, and he has hit every brick wall he possibly could have- because of Merck. They have waged a very strong war against him and thwarted his efforts almost completely. He is near retirement and will likely give up at some point soon, but needless to say, he thinks Propecia is a very dangerous med. It’s so discouraging.

just to say that I saw the urologist Dr Minhas at UCHL London about 4 yrs ago but did not have any luck with my muscle wasting condition, he is said to specialise in curing erectile disfunction but prostatitis was not an issue that came up.

Solonjk, so let me get this straight…
The doctor says he can fix PFS, but it could initially take up to two months to get it under control. Then we need to go back 2-3 months later, then 6 months later, then every year for a few years and god knows what after that.
It would probably cost me about $8 000 US dollars to fly to Greece and stay there for one month of treatment.
How are any of us able to afford 4 trips in the first 2 years and then ever year after that. Thats gotta be about $60 000 to $70 000 worth and thats IF you’re not the guy who’s got one of the 5 harder ones to treat which takes years to fix.
How is this even feasable for anyone who isn’t loaded? Have I got these facts correct?

And also a couple more:
- This doctor claims he cures chronic prostatitis with a 95-96% success rate. Even if there’s no bacteria in there? I mean, did you even get a bacterial culture?
- So the good doctor is throwing at you a poultice of antibiotics. I noticed one abx in there that is very familiar to me: levaquin. I recognise it because in another thread, some time ago, you were begging someone not to touch any fluoroquinolone. I mean, after your described reaction to cipro, with pseudotumor cerebri that put you bed-ridden for 1 year, how did you put 1 of these pills into your mouth again?
The problem with this section of the forum is that it’s losing its credibility. There’s no light, just people experimenting back and forth and not reporting their experiences.
4 days after talking Solonjk I’ve found out that the extra visits are only for a couple of days. Not another month each time so that is not so bad.
Solonjk is getting treatment now and is keeping us up to date in the theories thread.
