Ok so i started taking propecia like most of us due to the thinning of my hair. When i started taking propecia for the first two weeks or so i noticed that i was really horny and had potent erections. But into the second month i noticed that while masturbating it was hard to achieve and maintain a erection. Then it just got worst i had no sexual desire at all and watching porn was like watching cartoons it did nothing for me.I finally stopped taking propecia due to actually finding this site i still had a almost full bottle and thank god i found this site while researching fin side effects. So i’ve been off fin for almost two years now and my erections got a lil better but i still have low libido. My major problem now is i have severe anxiety and panic attacks including agoraphobia im a nervous wreck i constantly feel nervous for no reason and spaced out pretty much everyday.I used to go out drinking and having fun now i cant go nowhere without panicking it seems to be just getting worse also i cant even hold a conversation with someone no more its like im disconnected from reality. This stuff is poison before fin i had no anxiety whatsoever i went to see a doc and he did a thyroid test but came back normal so he prescribed me antidepressants which i did not take due to low libido sides also. This stuff has ruined my life i just hope i can find something to help me feel normal again.

what thyroid tests did you get? TSH isn’t an accurate way to determine if you have thyroid issues according to www.StopTheThyroidMadness.com , if thats what you got, which is what i’m assuming.

Aaaa the mental side-effects! welcome to the board. i’m really sorry to hear your story fukmerck, the mental side-effects are the worst. they really do ruin a lot for people with this condition.

as a quick but important hints, avoid caffeine and alcohol like your life depends on it!!
if you want to start improving/taking control of your condition from somewhere, start with cutting carbohydrates and sugar altogether or bring them really low. introduce a lot more vegetables.

for now, these might seem useless and rest assured nothing here can guarantee complete recovery but you really have to do your best to ease these symptons. you have to start somewhere no matter what! the brain effects are easily the worst but luckily there should be ways to ease those symptons. don’t leave your responsibility and future just to the words of your physician who have no idea what this drug does to you!

Maybe it’s for the better you didn’t take the antidepressant, i wouldn’t want to fuck me up even worse with drugs that can mess your brain up. Like bryce said, TSH is not enough. You propably didn’t check/didn’t get to know the values or don’t remember and that’s alright. You need to test AND know your values for at least TSH, FT4, FT3, RT3.

Most importantly, check out the site bryce offered (stopthethyroidmadness). Study it the best (if) you can. You might have adrenal fatigue too which is tied to hypothyroidism. I know that i get your symptons EXACTLY/really bad when i drink coffee so i know that my adrenal glands are stressed.

Don’t give up!!! Conserve your hope the best you can and always look out the way to make it through, even if you only got a fragment of brain or 1h of effective time to use your thoughts/search for help. Don’t let this place to depress you. eg.There are several people here who have recovered from the brain symptons.

If… anybody here disagrees with my words here then please tell but uh, i really do think this is the best cource of actions with this?!?

Thanks for your guys reply it is much appreciated, for the thyroid test i took they tested T3,T4,and TSH so is there a difference with the FT3 and FT4?Sorry but this stuff is very confusing for me.
