Seba - new member

Hi there!

My name is Seba and I’m a 38 years old guy from Germany.

I found your the forum Propecia help on google.

I’m took finasteride (1 mg each day) because of hairloss from 2010 to 2015. Approximately over 5 years.

My libido dropped and I was feeling depressed.
I have also lost spontaneous and morning erections. And sometimes my testicles hurt.

Because of this I stopped immediately taking this drug (cold turkey).

After quitting this drug I feel much better.
Nothing was as good as before I took this drug. But I functioned so far.

Since two years it’s getting worse.
I have ed, premature ejaculation and no libido. I’m feeling tired and have bad sleep at night.

Until now I have no treatments. But since two weeks I‘m on trt.

All blood test are okay and everything is in normal range.

Anything not listed in the above questions you’d like to share about your experience?

Tell us your story, in your own words, about your usage and side effects experienced while on/off the drug.

I have many questions to trt.

Can someone help me??

I’m sorry that this happened to you. I’ll be curious to hear if TRT does anything for you. I don’t have as many years at this as you, but I have the same symptoms. You’re in the right place. Everyone here could use a hug.

FWIW…I was on TRT for several years before my Proscar misadventure, due to declining testosterone levels.

With TRT my testosterone levels stayed in the safe zone before, during, and after the onset of PFS. No fluctuation that could be attributed to PFS.

Erections were strong until PFS then became nonexistent regardless of the TRT. I continue with TRT now for the other health benefits it gives.

Don’t know if this helps, just my experience with TRT (Androgel). Jim

Hello Jim,
many thanks for your answer.

How long does it take for until Trt started to work.

I started on 1 April with testo enanthate.
But I can’t feel any benefits until now.

You’ve only been on TRT for two weeks, please give it more time.

Remember, when I went on TRT I did not have PFS. I was nearing 60 and my natural testosterone production was in decline. My urologist was willing to prescribe Androgel to keep me healthy beyond the sexual purpose.

Before TRT my erections were less constant, less firm. Also I was gaining weight and my muscles were going soft, along with other health issues.

With TRT all the issues I listed were resolved, and all was good for several years before Proscar killed me. PFS seemed to negate every single benefit of the TRT even though my lab test levels remained acceptably constant!

Because you are starting TRT after years of PFS, I cannot predict if you will get any benefits! But give it at least 6-8 weeks, that’s how long it was before I noticed discernable improvements back then! Jim

Hey Jim,
thanks so much for your answer.

That give me some hope that Trt will bring me some benefits in the future.

Unfortunately I don’t have anyone to ask or talk about Trt.

In Germany doctors don’t have many experiences with Trt.

Wish you a successful week.

God bless you.

Prof. Zitzmann at Münster University Andrologic private ambulance (with a doctor referral from an urologist payed by heath insurance) has seen more pfs patients as everyone else in Germany. He treated many pfs patients with hcg and Testosteron.

I know some guys personal who developed their mental and sexual feeling with hormone and pre hormone cycles, but after all no one has been cured from pfs by hormone treatment.

This is the task of basic research and therapy development, which is currently in kiel as a research project with results in the next few years and at Tampere University still to be funded.

How are you doing now Seba?

No benefits from Trt.
I already stopped it.

Actually I take Clomid and Tadalafil.
