Saw saw palmetto - less likely to create sides?

I have read peoples post who have experienced sides with SP. I was wondering though if its more or less likely that someone who started SP instead of Fin would encounter side effects?

theres 3-4 people here who have experienced bad sides from it , why risk it?
i’m trying this new thing , scalp exercises.have lost quite some hair since i stopped minox 6 months back.

long time now see. I thought you had quit the forum. any improvement yet? I am tiaking standard vitD3 2X/day feel good.
I sure now we SP guys especially are suffering due to liver’s compromised function.
while on SP did you notice any change of sking color?
what is the color of your pee. my pee’s colorless, which tells something wrong with liver.

no , no change in skin colour but i did develop skin rash and itchy skin whilst on it

i cannot say my condition has either improved or got worse

your urine if it’s colourless this is probably just because you drink quite alot of water.if you don’t have kidney pain when you pee i don’t think you should worry about it.

anyway theres heaps of people claiming sides from SP , here’s one i googled within a couple mins

If your condition did not get worse , trust me that is very very good news. I took sp only for 5-6 months, and in Sep-Oct 2009 I got very worse, almost died after alergy from Oat meal.Funny thing is before SP I was eating it daily in my breakfast.
Hope you will get better, I know if you are not feeling bad that means your body is coming up.

yeah , your adrenal glands are responsible for food allergies
i think i was highly allergic to SP and this screwed up my adrenals which screwed up the liver but im really not that much closer to an ‘answer’ than i was 2 years ago.

on the other hand i do occasionally get severe pains in the prostate area so i don’t know for sure.

That link is for someone taking huge doses. I understand a few have had bad sides but apparantly huge amount of people take it so the ‘risk’ seems less than Fin.

My original question is would you expect SP to cause less sides than Fin?

buddy I took 320mg and got sides but every body is different. there is no test to measure. I have visited some hair loss forum and people are taking for years.
Give it a try and if get sides stop it. That is amximum I can tell you.
