Salty foods ease brainfog?

I discovered that eating very salty food (like a bag of Aldi’s ‘Clancy’s’ brand Salt and Vinegar) potato chip’s, seem to have a positive effect on feeling clearer minded. A whopping 350mg of salt in the bag.
Share what you feel if you decide to try this. Sound’s wacky(i know!), but it works for me every time!

BTW, Adrenal Burnout is treated with healthy salt(sea) and salty foods I’ve learned. Try eating a couple of handful’s, before you sleep and it also might help people with insomnia issue’s associated with PFS. Salty foods have helped me with this.

Well, the actual reason for brainfog can vary but if it’s salt that gives you benefits for that then read up about uh noradrenaline? deficiency from Stop the Thyroid Madness. I don’t know if it’s the actual thing you’ve got but if it’s true then you should definitely read everything about it. It’s a certain kind of salt deficiency (because your adrenals need it) and i think you are talking about that.

Thx gefinauser. Again, it’s just something I just noticed recently, that made an instant positive impression on my PFS cognitive issue. I might have a salt deficiency. I have avoided salt itself all of my life, so it’s not a far fetched reason to get checked out. Will look into what you had mentioned.
I will also “try” to convince the hard boiled & egg headed doctor’s at the veteran’s hospital this week to get me tested.
I’ll tell you how that goes…probably nowhere. LOL :wink:

Salt is not the only thing in potato chips.

Not really. I don’t necessarily crave anything at all or salt. I was never a salt eater.
It’s just something I noticed that helped recently.
It used to be raw spinach, beef, sushi, fish oil that helped in the past with the brain fog.
My nervous system is shot - that’s my theory at least, along with adrenal burnout.
Perhap’s even mineral and vitamin deficiencies?
I find it absolutely amazing, that eating certain food’s diminish some of the brain fog.
