Read alot about this guy on mesoRX - and is consistently recommended more over Dr Chrysler. Perhaps a wise option for people on the west coast.

Any experience of fin guys with dead dicks?
I dunno luckfax, why not call and ask yourself?
Interestingly I read on meso that he does prescribe fin to guys but only with Arimidex to combat estrogen (I personally wonderi f we could have avoided this mess by even running 50mg of zinc per day). I don’t think he has any experience of what to do if you’ve crashed though.
oh, so you’ve called and asked him, specifically? Spoken to his nurses about his clinical experience with the post-finasteride syndrome perhaps?
likely not, since seemingly all you do is erratically send messages to any member online about your side effects and sit at your computer dwelling about your situation - instead of actually trying to visit a doctor doing something about it.
He does seem to blow his own trumpet on the internet a lot, maybe I am being unfair.
If you lend me a couple of grand I will go and see Shippen.
Care to post some examples of this trumpet blowing?
and, really, whats more important - money or health? money comes and goes, and all the money in the world means nothing without health. of course there is really no point in arguing with you on any of these points since you likely will just sit there and do nothing except complain further or send me a few one-line private messages (which i will delete) anyway.
According to definitivemind.com/services/
… his foundation is in psychology and psychiatry… personally, not the type of doctor I would seek out for the post-Finasteride syndrome, especially as he still prescribes the medication. However, for those with mood problems, perhaps he may be of interest.
well, you personally, have yet to seek any of the doctors listed on this site - correct?
from various posts on his site he demonstrates an understanding of the various hormones in the body. This being one post which demonstrates his understanding of some of the various hormones.
definitivemind.com/2009/06/2 … -pointers/
Other post on meso show his understanding of the complexities of how one hormone can effect another, how trt wont work if there are underlying issues with thyroid or adrenals, how adrenals and thyroid should be addressed prior to attempting trt, etc. He has also posted numerous neuroendocrine articles on his website for public view, which leads me to the assumption that he is reading these articles for his own understanding to put into practice.
If we are going to get on the topic of doctors - (specifically some listed on this site - Please correct me if I am wrong) Shippen is just a family practioner (according to vitals.com) and chysler is also listed as a general practitioner - and even went to Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (thats muscle and skeletal medicine, generally) - not really having much to do with “the post propecia syndrome” - not to discredit him from recognizing the drug is dangerous.
Generally, if we are to get really specific, the only doctor on here that should have exceptional experience in this field would be Jacobs with the neuroendocrine background - but ill write straight up that he has, thus far, done nothing for me (and for any of his other patients, as far as i know thus far) as far as improving there symptoms. I am pleased however that he has brought some public attention to finasteride’s dangers, but here i am still as bad off as i was when I first visited him.
What i’m getting at is - its unfair to discount any doctor merely because of there background experience/schooling. If we are to contact Mariano (or any intelligent doc) and they are willing to do all the testing, examine the problem from - perhaps - a new outlook, and are competent in understanding the complex connections of the endocrine and neurological systems within the body - then they must be considered.
You make valid points. I was basing my presumptions on his specialization in pscyhology and psychiatry, not endocrinology. Regardless, perhaps he may be able to assist in some capacity. If you see him, keep us posted.
Here’s a recent thread on meso which may be of interest:
I thought it would be important to post this message from Mariano to show not only his expertise medically, but show some things that people have been talking about on the board and how he demonstrates knowledge in this fields - i.e. histamine levels, thyroid, t replacement, etc. This demonstration of expertise is why I have been encouraging more people to visit him.

thanks to a1 for the link.
Im gonna talk with him. Definately would go see him if he could offer me any hope.
EDIT - Just got off the phone with Paulette in his office. She says he treats “alot” of Fin cases. She wouldnt commit on a number. Also, she says alot of times people come with PFS issues and they turn out to something else. ie, something related to taking the Fin but something that is treatable. I have to call them back in a couple weeks. Im leaning on going out there early Fall, maybe early Nov. IF you want to get an appointment she said to call soon. She says that toward the holidays they are booked pretty solid.
No problem bro, anytime…
You may also want to look at this link as well…The tests he orders are no joke…This man is on TARGET!
is the user who used to post on marianos forum under the name “shaolin” on here at all?
I think that’s solonjk.
Has anyone seen Dr. Mariano yet? He seems very promising. I understand some in his office boast they can “reverse” PFS and he has moved to the forefront on this issue for some members here.
I have an aapointment with him in November. Is anyone having success with him?
