Hi, As a new member I apologize in advance if this question has already been asked. But…Does applying Rogaine 5% topically have similar side effects to Propecia. I recently tried Propecia and discontinued use after eight days. I’ve had chronic prostatitis in my past and have become very sensitive to symptoms and thus decided to discontinue use.
Rogaine is Minoxidil, usually either 2% or 5%. Side effects are different fom Propecia since its function is different, and it only increases bloodflow. Side effects are usually related to the heart, as in palpitations, or additionally perhaps rashes.
I tried Rogaine before Propecia and was allergic to either the minoxidil itself or the medium in which it was in. Should have stopped there and found this site at that point in time before I ever went on Propecia.
