Might sound selfish but our best hope would be for a high profile figure to get PFS.
Just a matter of whether they’d choose to publicize it or use their wealth for their own treatment.

Coroners report for the late R Williams. No illegal drugs in his system but theraputic quantities of pharmaceuticals. It’s a shame they don’t specify. Because they are regulated drugs they get are exponerated by the authorities.

The problem is, if he did have POST-finasteride syndrome, by definition he’d stopped taking the drug at the time of his death.
Anyone know how long finasteride stays in one’s system? Better yet, how long does it remain detectable?
12 hours for fin and 10 weeks for dutasteride.
The sad thing is, at some point some celebrity WILL take his own life AND it will be directly linked finasteride.
But will Kenneth C. Frazier lift a finger to prevent that?

But why? Does he need another car? Another house? Another jet?

Actually 30 days for finasteride and 6 months for dutasteride, that is why you cannot donate blood for 6 months after you use dutasteride. Finasteride takes 30 days to completely leave your blood stream, half life means the drug declines by 50% in that amount of time. So Dutasteride has a 5 week half life, that only means it will be at 50% in 5 weeks, 25% at 10 weeks etc…
In a Nov. 8 report, The Inquisitor reports that:
“On top of those strong drugs, Robin Williams had also reportedly been prescribed lansoprazole, rapaflo, finasteride, amoxicillin, quetiapine, carbidopa, and mirtazapine. At the time of his death, no alcohol or illegal substances of any type were found in Williams’ system.”
Not sure where they are getting that, but am looking now for a second source.

If it IS true that Robin was on finasteride…well, let’s see where this leads.
OK, the report of Robin Williams being on finasteride comes from RadarOnline – a highly reputable, investigative media outlet:
“Investigators found that he had been prescribed a variety of drugs, including lansoprazole, rapaflo, finasteride, amoxicillin, quetiapine, carbidopa, and mirtazapine.”

Robin’s wife had told authorities shortly after his death he had been complaining about the meds and the way they made him feel.
Here is my letter to the editor.
Robin Williams was on finasteride based on your recent article. I was prescribed this drug and within days had many of the problems Robin had. I still have the problems after stopping the medication. It also appears that Robin was put on an SSRI. Many of us suffering from finasteride get much worse after taking SSRI medication. I would highly encourage you to pursue this angle. I have no doubt this is what pushed Robin to such an extreme. See some references below. Also links to well respected doctors that have tried to help treat people impacted by finasteride. If you contact them they may be able to provide you some additional professional information into what finasteride has done to many men.

I personally adored Robin Williams’ work and curse Kenneth C. Frazier for cutting the genius’ life short by at least 15 years.

We should build a blog or website called propecia suicides. There we could post all the confirmed propecia suicides and the cases that are not officially confirmed, but the man was taking propecia. Most people still link propecia only to sexual side effects. We need to show it is much more than that.
