Robin Williams Takes His Own Life (Was He on Propecia?)...

True. But again, if someone had bent over backwards – using any tactic he could – to warn YOU against the dangers of Propecia before you ever took it, wouldn’t you be happy now?

Wouldn’t you – knowing the horrors of what PFS could have done to you – wake up every day and praise that person like nobody’s business?

That’s all we’re talking about here: We owe it to those who have yet to become afflicted by PFS to warn them.

I guess. I think back to the days I used baldtruthtalk forum and wonder where these warnings were. I remember one guy there called stressedtothebald who was the only one to warn people but his style came off a bit insane and he was eventually banned.

Amen.

Thanks for the support, NA.

Merck --as it has proven again and again for more than a decade – will knowingly send their own customers to their death.

But as long as I am alive, I will try to prevent that.

thewrap.com/robin-williams-h … wife-says/

“he was brave as he struggled with his own battles of depression, anxiety as well as early stages of Parkinson’s Disease”

and of course, she wouldn’t mention eventual sexual problems… Sounds like typical case of PFS to me.

Could someone contact the wife and ask if he was taking finasteride?

I’m sure his wife would really appreciate a random forum theory about his death while she’s grieving.

The important thing we should all be focused on is Robin Williams and his toxicology. Stop the bickering and judgments.
But the real question is whether the toxicology would pick up ‘finasteride’ in his system. What if he had stopped months ago and this was his crash? What evidence should the toxicology report look for?

Michael Jackson was also taking Propecia.

Why is this thread important? BECAUSE THE MEDIA AND THE GOVERNMENT WILL PAY ATTENTION!

This has nothing to do with speculation or vultures circling celebrities.
IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH TAKING PROPECIA OFF THE MARKET AND HOLDING MERCK ACCOUNTABLE.

I think Daniel’s family would agree. So let’s please work ‘together’ while at the same time, respect each other.

Searching for articles online to see if he was taking it…

At least we know there was some medical reason for Robin’s death – other than he used to be a coke addict 30 years ago, but has been sober since.

He may well have had Parkinson’s – I believe the wife – but he may also have taken finasteride.

No matter, really. The point is that the medical community needs to know that finasteride CAN lead to suicide and at least have it on their list of causes to investigate.

As we speak, the families of many men around the globe are still wondering why their sons, husbands, bothers, etc. killed themselves.

Sad to say, but that blogger has a point. And anyone who has taken Propecia – long enough to see positive results – can recognize it in other men.

Tom Hanks took if for sure around the time of The DaVinci Code. Then obviously stopped a few years later. We’ll never know why Tom stopped, but it seems pretty safe to assume loss of libido had something to do with it.

Anyway, this is not to cast a negative light on these talented men. Rather, they took it thinking it was harmless.

But we know better.

Every Tom, Dick, and Harry currently has a skewed opinion as to what may have driven Williams to suicide.

The guys over at the SSRI Yahoo forum are convinced it was SSRIs that prompted his death.

Some are blaming it on his PD symptoms.

‘Actor’ Rob Schneider is pointing the finger at PD meds:

Williams had a long documented history of depression, anxiety, and addiction. So, whether he was on Fin or not isn’t going to make much difference. It would simply be another suspect in a long list of potential offenders.

Agreed: But the larger–though related–issue here is that many such drugs can lead to suicide. So doctors need to take extreme caution.

There should also be laws where, if a patient has more than one doctor, each of those doctors is required to check the other’s prescriptions to their patient before writing a new prescription.

That way, ALL the patient’s doctors know EVERY drug that patient is taking.

Also, note from the Daily Mail story: “Williams was suffering from insomnia brought on by the drugs he was taking.”

Sound familiar?

And now it looks like LeBron James may be on Propecia:

Let’s hope the NBA’s most famous player is not sidelined by PFS.

I find it ironic that those who criticize the notion that Propecia was responsible are listing out PFS side effects.
Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia, Addiction(where some people turn to escape pain)

Robin Williams was my all time favorite comedian since I first saw him on Mork and Mindy. I can only hope that whatever tests or investigation happens will also include the effects of Propecia. It’s the high profile celebrity which will be the catalyst in getting traction with Merck and the FDA to pull this poison off the shelf.

Oh, did you know Michael Jackson was also taking Propecia? Care to bash this one too?

What would they test for? If they don’t find anything wrong while your alive and can explain your symptoms. What could they possibly find once your dead?

Hormone levels I would imagine. And any testimony from his wife about his thoughts, behaviors, sex life.
I find it highly unlikely that he did this because of a Parkinsons diagnosis.

The only way they would even think to look for evidence is if PFS was on their radar as an option. But how is it possible to even mention this as suspect and be trusted or taken seriously. After all, the default response from the ignorant is “That’s only a harmless hair loss pill”.

You can be sure they review medical records and prescription history. Would be interested to know if he had depression before Finasteride, or if records show depression soon after starting it.

If i know correct, sports men cant take finasteride due to doping tests. Its forbidden.

Sport bans on drugs have a specific list of banned substances. Finasteride is not likely on this list. There’s no unfair advantage to gain from taking it.
