More concerning is the fact that we don’t have anyone on this forum that used finasteride at 5 mg for BPH which is still very popular apparently.
Progesterone is an awesome idea because it has many other benefits too. I wish i looked into progesterone, zinc and B6 and other natural things before using finasteride.
I took 3 capsules of dutasteride last night and i just seem to be at my fairly dire baseline now. Although my mood and motivation are better than usual. At about 2 weeks off i might jump on some Nolvadex to bring down estrogen as hormones return.
That’s a ridiculously simplistic statement from such a knowledgable individual.
Just like bigger dosages of fin is used for BHP whislt smaller dosages are used for MPB, it’s all about dosage and details. Various drugs are used in different dosages for sometimes opposite effects.
My recommendation of progesterone was as a better option than using fin or dut. I haven’t met one guy who exhibits persistent “PFS” symptoms from progesterone…
Furthermore, it’s fin and spiro etc that transgenders use more - im not aware of progesterone being used by that community.
Ithappens used progesterone - he recovered. M81 uses/ has used progesterone. It may be a feminizing hormone but it has it’s place in male hormone therapy.

Why are you trying to get banned? What’s your purpose for posting here if you don’t care? It appears as if you’re simply seeking attention by trying to be a “bad boy”. Getting banned from a faceless internet forum is not cool and cluttering an information source for people who are truly suffering is a rotten thing to do.
You have suggested that a number of users should try taking finasteride or other 5AR2 inhibitors again because it worked for you temporarily.
Here’s a suggestion, instead of posting random statements in as many threads/on as many websites/under as many usernames as possible so no one can follow you, why don’t you POST ALL OF YOUR EXPERIENCES IN YOUR OWN THREAD ALONG WITH THE SUBSTANCES YOU’RE TAKING. It would help you build some credibility.
Your timeline is incorrect and not everyone developed the sides after quitting, many people developed sides before quitting. The hormonal surge typically happens around 10-14 days off finasteride and the crash starts about a week later when the hormones are suppressed again. And yes, most of us seem to think that taking this chemical poison again is crazy judging by your lack of support.
I don’t see the reason to be concerned as Proscar is usually given to men of a much older age bracket, an age bracket in which sexual side effects from propecia are more easily confused with the natural aging process. In addition, most of these men may not be as familiar with the internet as they didn’t grow up with it.
Bluecloud, it’s very apparant that you have a problem and are seeking attention. Unfortunately it’s not clear that this problem was related to finasteride…at least before you began to retake the drug. We all have problems or we wouldn’t be here and I don’t think anyone has the time to give you the attention you need.
While I don’t want to drive away anyone that’s been damaged from finasteride, I agree with the multiple members that have suggested it may be better for you to take a break from the forum for a while. You post contradicting statements here constantly and have on multiple occasions recommend very risky theoretical treatments to new members.
Why don’t you take a break while your presence here is still salvageable and come back when you can offer a calmer, more focused, and more rational perspective on your experience?
I would very much like to know if bluecloud is having sustained improvements from re-taking Dut. Does anyone happen to have his contact info (email or else)? If so, please PM me. Thanks.
4 capsules of Avodart left and right now i am feeling 100% recovered. Since waking up at 9 am this morning i have been popping spontaneous erections bordering on priapism every 20 minutes
I am getting a lot of yellow head spots like i would as a young teenager - i am guessing that the Avodart has indeed drastically boosted my testosterone levels.
I am also feeling perfectly normal mentally. No internal tremors, random anxiety, weak legs and other strange symptoms that would usually ruin every waking moment of my life. I wake up and move on with my day like a normal human being.
I will update you all once that i am a few weeks/ months off Avodart. I really do think there is a chance that i have gotten myself better but only time will tell. If i happen to slip back into ‘PFS mode’ after the Avodart therapy then i will consider another 30 days on the drug.
this is speculation… but it sounds like PFS is our body somehow adapting to having the 5AR2 inhibitor in our body… and by taking it again… you are realigning the proper balance that was left damaged… hard to say what will happen when you get off though, there’s so many random theories i’ve read… but this is really, really interesting at looking at the mechanisms taking place… in fact, it doesn’t really explain other theories at all like those involving digestion… this is mind boggling… i wonder what type of scientist or professional would be able to understand this type of data…
Could it be that the avodart is blocking any remaining DHT in your body from attacking your hair follicles or what else it does, thus putting it into your system, thus the result you are feeling is an increased DHT being diverted to other regions in your body like your penis and bloodstream. This is why many members on this site and including myself had an increase in their sex drive, erections, and overall sexual performance just prior to crashing while on fin. I hate to say this but what is happening to you, is the same old. You are elevating your own natural DHT in your body and soon your body will compensate by shutting down when it detects your elevated DHT levels. Or boost its estrogen or cortisol output to compensate for the increased DHT / test. I really, really, really hope I am wrong and you are on your way to a recovery and not just another crash to soon follow.
Just a side note; before crashing on fin, my last 6 to 12 months I started to notice my hair was filling in, I was actually regrowing hair. Previous to that the first 2 to 3 years on fin I thought it really didn’t do anything maybe slowed down my hair from falling out. But it wasn’t into my last year on it that I was saying that fin really worked, the back of my head was completly filled in better than when I started 3 years ago. Then that last year my sexual performance was like I was in high school all over again. I had great hair and a hell of a libido and sexual prowess in all areas. Then the crash. Could it be that for some, your body takes a while to react to fin, it builds up. Because the first few years sexual I noticed no change but also no or any change in my hair falling out. It was the last year, after being on fin for 3 years when it seems the body could not tolerate it anymore and the build up was too much then everything get out of balanced. Likewise, for some it took less time and others more time for this to occur. Thus, by restarting DHT blocker all you are doing is setting yourself up for a crash again.
speculation here… but maybe you should try not masturbating AT ALL… since others have reported crashes happening post masturbation… maybe if you don’t masturbate for like a month straight, you will avoid the crash and you will go back to normal “naturally” post taking the 5AR2 inhibitor the way the lucky people do (unlike us who were screwed by merck)… ?
