Since this research will probably be definetive proof of how finasteride can destroy your body, is it safe to put out details of which places etc. will be conducting the research? It just seems like if Merck knows they will try to threaten the people doing research to stop it and protect themselves.

The reason I ask is because when this all happened to me, I spoke to a family friend, a retired nuerologist, a very smart man, and he said he has been approached many times by Merck over the years to join them. He declined obviously. However, when I told him about this site, he said he is certain that Merck has people watching this site like a hawk.

Maybe I am paranoid, but is it safe to make that info public? I am just saying it would not surprise me if they were to try and sabotage the research to protect themselves.

There are always at least 3X as many unregistered users viewing these forums as registered ones at any given time. It is certain that Merck employees, Merck attorneys and even executives are keeping some watch on what is going on here.

Probably best that everything is kept secret at least until the first paper is published.

I just do not want Merck to try to threaten the researchers. When they want something kept quiet, they use threats. This is well documented in the Vioxx scandal. Merck is the definition of pure evil. The devil does walk the earth…

This research is the most important thing there is, and we cannot have anything interfere or jepoardize it. I would fight to the death to see this through.

I think if there were threats Awor would know about it. Either way, its best that specifics about the research are kept hidden as been done so far. I was frustrated about the lack of info at first about the research, but I can see why so much has been kept hidden. Someone posted about Merck being sued for another drug recently, anyone remember which one it was? So far they’ve been blamed for damages done by Vioxx, Fosamax, Gardasil, Propecia.

Well sometimes, threats are not so obvious. We live in a complex and large society where money rules all. Merck is not alone in being evil and it maybe my pessemistic view amplified by our ordeal but generally the hearts of men are self interested and only motivated by that which grants them certain advantage. Our plight, as desperate as it is to us, and however much it may help science in its unraveling, is nothing to men who may perhaps lose something from it being availed.

Awor mentioned previously one reason he had to be tight lipped is because you-know-who might be lurking. Hopefully, the experiments in Italy are beyond the reach of Merck. I think they are, but you never know.
