Relationship between Fin's intended effect and side effects?

Has there been shown to be a relationship between Finasteride’s primary intended effect in users (either for A) those who took it to reduce prostate enlargement; or B) those who took it to prevent hair loss), and the frequency, intensity, and/or range of side effects experienced by PFS sufferers?

In other words, if you took Finasteride to prevent hair loss, does Fin’s effectiveness in that intended role, suggest anything about the likelihood that the user will suffer from PFS side effects-- and how many/severe those symptoms will be?
