Red mark/ patch on the top of my forehead

Has anybody here experienced this? or knows what this could be?

I am officially off finasteride now, and ever since I began taking it 5 months ago it made a red mark/ patch of what seems to be drier skin, it feels slightly different. I have came off the drug for 1-2 week periods during my 5 month usage about 4 times and everytime the mark has subsided as I stop taking the drug. This time though, the mark isn’t going away so fast.

It’s to the left, on the picture, but on the right side of my forehead. Any ideas?

I thought this would be an interesting contribution because it doesn’t seem like a common side effect either. Before anyone asks, I am 100% sure this is from the finasteride.

Could be rash or pruritus, which are officially listed side effects.

On other hand, could not even be related to Finasteride, maybe a zit from recovering DHT levels?

Actually I did have a weird red mark on my forehead when I first came off it too. It was mainly the skin right above my eyebrows, mostly on the left side, and it cleared up after about a month or two. I probably didn’t think too much about it at the time though, since it was very minor compared to the rest of the stuff my body was going through.

It’s deifnitely due to the fin, I have came off it before and it dissapeared, then back on again and it came back. I hope it’s nothing to worry about.

I’m sorry, but in my opinion, this is a useless post. Go see a dermatologist if you are concerned.

No offense, but posts like these generally do not add anything of value to the forum other than making us seem like a bunch of hypochondriacs, which is completely untrue.

Why is this pointless? I’m documenting a different side effect to the usual ones, if anything it’s useful.

I got excema for the first time in my life after taking fin. Looked similiar. It’s an area of extremely dry skin that was difficult to moisturize even with prescription ointment. It still hangs around and gets worse when the dry eyes get worse. I’ve got it on 6 areas of the body. Like in these 6 spots oil stops being produced and the patch develops.

Try moisturizing with a good creme designed for very dry skin IMMEDIATELY after the shower.

I don’t think anyone has noticed it, and it’s something I can obviously live with but I’m just annoyed, it’s been 2 months since I came off the drug!
