Recovery - Classic Crash

Hello All,

Its good to see some recovery stories and improvements coming from a lot of victims these days. However, there is some difference in the way we all victimized here.

  1. People who experience sides when they were using sides and recovering after a few months/years after stopping the drug.

  2. People who were fine while on the drug and crashed exactly 2-3 weeks after stopping finasteride. (Classic Crash scenario). I have not seen any recoveries associated to this case.

  3. People who used fin for the first time and dodged the bullet and started after a few months/years and had classic crash or experience sides. Not so many improvements in this case too.

It would be motivating for the users if anyone from the case 2 or 3 can post their recovery experiences, if there are any.

I had a classic crash and am still not right. Took meds from aug 20 to sep 10. Crashed around oct 1. Still impotent with no sex drive, but sensitivity and shrinkage much better. Could be years before things get better. I’m totally alone and no one knows whether things will resolve or not

I think you have a point, none of the recoveries I’ve seen mention a crash. Those who experience a crash are much more severely affected.

Things have improved, but not libido. I have not had a random erection since the crash. It would be hard to get one when your penis is retracting into your body. Thats not happening anymore. everything is fuller and looks close to normal. Makes sense that libido would be last. However, I am concerned that maybe improvements have stopped. I think we need to keep in mind that its unlikely that anything is permanent, but it could take many many years to get back to normal.

just read your story. Its promising. you sound part of Classic Crash…and what about your hair fall? Just wondering whether your DHT returned or not?

I dont know where my DHT is, but I suspect its very very low. I’m considering having it tested along with 3ad diol? or whatever it is called. There must be some sort of feedback that causes DHT not to come back online after taking the drug. I am also worried about structural damage to my penis because of how extreme the shrinakge was, but am still hopeful if things come back that it will fix itself. My hair on the back of my head which was modestly thinning over the last years has completely grown back. Makes sense.

If you are out there. Did random erections ever start coming back? I’m not asking if you are 100 percent back to normal, but at least some modest improvements?

I had the classic crash, but only a little shrinkage. My face is oily and my hair falls out so I doubt my dht is low.

If your face is oily and your hair is falling out, doesn’t that indicate that you have androgen action in your peripheral tissues? Does that further indicate our problem is focused in the CNS?
