Recomended Books for Recovery Diets

Hello All,

I have been browsing this forum and Google but I could not find information about books or diets that may improve PFS. I know there is not a quick diet, and many people recommend different things to eat healthy, but perhaps if I/we can get a couple of books people in this forum would recommend, perhaps including exercise regime, that might be really helpful to start a consistent protocol diet. I remember watching a video of a British guy I believe that recovered following the protocol of a diet on a book, while living in China, but I couldn’t find his video or recommendations.

Thank you everyone any information you can provide. By the way I was going to donate today to the PFS foundation as I have been doing it regularly since it started but the website is down. Everything is ok with them?

All the best to all in your recovery. We will get there.

There is lots of info on this board on diet, just keep looking. The best place to start is researching the paleo diet. If you don’t think you can do that then at least eliminate gluten and dairy. You can also follow Jack LaLanne’s great advice: “If man made it, don’t eat it!” Good luck!

I think it would be a good idea to make a thread compiling all the recommended foods/meals.
I recently decided I want to do a gluten free & dairy free diet, but I have no idea what this allows me to eat now.
I went grocery shopping yesterday and it took me like 2 and a half hours, wasting time reading every single ingredients label lol. I didnt realize how much stuff had gluten in it.
What are some homemade meals people recommend that can be gluten/dairy free?

salads, stir fries, gluten-free pasta dishes/mediterranean cuisine (not hard), anything indian sans naan bread (i love vindaloos), anything flourless mexican (so much guacamole), green smoothies (these are really, really good for you), freshly juiced fruits and veggies, etc.

it’s hard at first, but you’ll get used to it. sometimes it’s easier to modify parts of your diet gradually, contrary to the way you should enter a pool.

it is very easy. Gluten free diet definitely will make you feel tons of better but not cure. I boil brown rice ( I don’t use white rice as not good for health) enough for 4 - 5 days, store them in the fridge. I cook vegitable and meat or fish every day and eat it with rice. No cookies, pizza, pasta or any thing that may contain wheat, oat or barley. I feel a lot better. Wheat gives me severe brain fog, flue like symptoms, pain in my wrists, thighs and pain in my small intestine. Doctor did Celiac test came negative but on the same side she advised me to go Gluten free.

Thanks guys! All this food talk has gotten me really hungry.

Search xhorndog 's posts. He’s posted repeatedly about this.

Just FYI the “British guy” you refer to was basically selling commonly known general health info and I doubt he ever had PFS to begin with. He’s since created other websites selling similar nonsense.

As others have said already most guys do best on a paleo gluten free diet while limiting 5AR suppressing foods best you can.

The books I read and some guys on this forum recommended are “The primal blueprint” and “The Ultramind Solution”.

Here is a free download link to the Ultramind companion guide with a lot recipes.
