I think this post is vital in our case that we can at least see that some people here have improved over time and that we aren’t all completely doomed so I would like for those that have seen some improvements and have better quality of life compared to when they first crashed. Hope is a powerful tool
Just to show hands then yeah I definitely have. Not sure if it’s time or experimentation (although a few things I am personally convinced of do help.)
Yes considering the DARK place I was in November - April I’ve come along quite a bit.
yeah it gets much better. i crashed november 5th 2018 and live pretty much a normal life at this point besides some sexual and neurological symptoms that come and go. i just do the cdnuts lifestyle so i think it’s time healing me along with improvements from the protocol.
Everything was good until you mentioned CT nuts lol
Crashed July 2018, almost back to living a normal life bar some energy, sleep, motivation and libido issues. All much better than before, but sometimes worse than at others.
I have done nothing to attempt to heal myself and think that time is the only thing that has helped me.
Wow. Hopefully you’ll get the rest back to normal again. How about diet?
I eat normally. Not incredibly healthily, not terribly. I drink alcohol fairly regularly.
Nothing wrong with a good pint now and again. I find when I eat healthy I feel worse off it’s very bizarre.
Not to sound too desinformed, but what exactly is “to crash”? Does It have to do with our hormones? I don’t think I ever experienced that… Maybe my ED os related to something else? Please, helpe me guys!
It usually happens a few weeks after cessation of finasteride many here have experienced it including myself and seem to be much worse off. I don’t want this forum to go off topic so I would like for people who have improved so that others here can at least cling on to some form of hope that they will get better over time.
What exactly do you think is horribly wrong with the Cdnuts protocol (I don’t care what you think about him) it’s literally healthy eating, exercise, mindfulness, cold showers. The only possible harmful thing is the herbs. Don’t do that then. Otherwise, IMO, it’s common sense and to follow his advice.
Well generally speaking and looking through the forum he doesn’t exactly have a good back track record.
I’m exercise intolerant so in my case that advice isn’t good, when I worked out I had no sexual side effects just mental with some physical sides when I tried lifting weights and forcing myself through it like CT recommends 2 days later I started to quickly show severe deterioration in my symptoms. Exercise does have benefits don’t get me wrong but in this medical state that I find myself in I just can’t recommend it from my own experience. Cold showers, yeah why not might have a small effect on mental alertness by shocking the body but will it help long term with PFS I wouldn’t say so but one thing that could help and I’d take away from him is fasting and eating healthy as they both have numerous clinical studies to back up their effectiveness in wellbeing.
Exactly - so no when @propecia123 says he benefited from the protocol, take it for face value. At the end of the day you know you’re body better than anyone, so listen to it. But cdnuts advise isn’t revolutionary - it’s common sense.
Yes but I don’t think his name should be promoted on this website some people could really hurt themselves.
You’re totally right - everyone should be careful. Totally agree
I’m much better than I was a year ago. I eat pretty healthy, lift weights, get outside as much as possible and spend time with family/friends. A positive attitude has helped as well. I also, try to limit my time on this forum. I still battle with sleep issues, occasional mood issues and fatigue. But all of my symptoms have improved dramatically from the initial crash.
