I’ve noticed there has been discussion on the forum about raising money. I would just like to mention that I would like to contribute whenever a system is in place to do so. You can use it to fund research, help members afford labs, supplements/prescriptions, or to make travel arrangements to see physicians, etc. I will try to have as many people I know contribute as well. I have two children who work at Alfred University in New York. I can ask them to help raise public awareness with the academics, graduate and undergraduate students. They both are experienced in video, media, graphic design, print ads, etc. and can most likely help with filming, brochures and any type of ad campaign you would want to put forward. I just want to offer whatever resources I can to help. I hope that research and a cure can be found as soon as possible for all the members and their friends and family who share in their despair and suffering over this drug-induced syndrome.
Thank you for your generosity and interest to contribute finances, time and energy.
Setting up a fund for research purposes is something that likely will happen, in some capacity, hopefully soon. However, there may be other steps that need to be taken before this can be a reality beyond just a “PayPal” account.
Regarding a media campaign, this is something that can be discussed, but might be better served once Dr. Irwig’s paper is published to support it. In the meantime, feel free to brainstorm ideas.
Thanks for your support.
If we were to partake in a fundraising effort to try to find a solution to our condition, this may be a pretty good model to use.
