Hi folks, I quit taking propecia about 5 days ago due to not being impressed with the results for the price. I didn’t have much if any of the side effects while taking the drug except for dry skin and thinning hair. I truly lost more hair on the drug than I ever gained. Since I quit, I feel that I am always greasy (very oily skin…mostly on the face). One very weird and kind of scary possible side effect is that since I stopped taking the drug, my throat has felt kind odd to the point where I am always checking (feeling) my glands (Thyroid and the glands under the chin). It almost felt at one point I couldn’t swallow right. I am pretty sure that this isn’t due to a cold or virus because there is no pain or other flu or cold syptoms (fever, aches and pains, etc.). I’ve also noticed that my gums are now sensitive and have become red. I always use proper dental hygeine, so this is kind of out of the ordinary. I’ve browsed the site and can’t really find any comfort to my syptoms. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance.
I had the throat problem. It went away about a month after quitting. My gums are still pretty sensitive especially the roof of my mouth.
It seems to be going away somewhat when I don’t play with my throat. I wonder why this would happen though. All I can think of is the endocrine stystem being put out of whack.
