Quit cold turkey after 2 weeks so...

Here’s my story. Started taking propecia for two weeks after my dermatologist reccomended it to me. Saw this site and was “scared straight” so to speak. Haven’t taken ANY propecia for about a week now. Haven’t noticed any side effects.

Didn’t realize going cold turkey might’ve been a bad idea but now that I’ve been off it a week I assume you guys wouldn’t reccomend going back on in small doses would you? I know you guys despise Merk but they don’t lie about everything and I think they reccomend cold turkey if you experience side effects. Any thoughts?

If you got no side effects, then it’s clearly not that risky for you. But nobody can tell, when you’ll get them, if you get them.

First of all, no, we wouldn’t. No one on this forum is going to recommend for you to get back on Propecia. Secondly, this isn’t really the forum for you. If you want to gamble your long-term health by trying to treat hair loss with androgen deprivation, that’s entirely up to you. If you DO end up having persistent problems after quitting, then you should come back here.

Consider yourself lucky. Dont risk it. Find out the many other ways that you can slow hair loss without the risk of damaging your body.
