So here’s the thing. I took fin for only 7 days and received steadily increasing side effects over that time. On the last day I took this girl home from the bar and well, things didn’t work the way they did before taking the fin so needless to say those pills went in the trash.
After quitting I felt I made an amazing recovery after about a week, however, that was sadly short lived and my dick was full on limpy mclimpster a week later and no amount of filthy porn could wake his lazy ass up. Since then I have made some progress in recovering naturally. Some days I feel it’s steadily getting better and some days I feel stuck.
Now, at about the 2 months off mark the sides that have seemed to go away after discontinuing are: extremely frequent urination and for a few days I had some really weird bloating, zero dreams.
The sides that persist are: reduced interest in sex, infrequent morning wood, no spontaneous erections, erections aren’t as hard as before and don’t last as long and sometimes will go away instantly if stimulation stops, semen is watery and with less volume, occasional/minor testicular pain and occasional testicular tingling which sometimes seems to flow into the quads and quality of sleep seems reduced as well.
Now, I am a very healthy individual. I have been mostly paleo (minus a few cheat days each month) for about five years. I weight train 3 times a week, run or engage in HIIT 3 times per week and do yoga or tai chi once per week. I avoid caffeine right now but sup with White Flood and Whey on weight days and take Argenine/Citrulline 500/250 twice a day (pre-workout and before bed)
Now, one of my observations is that when I wake up early to take a leak I do tend have a bit of morning wood, however, when I go back to bed and doze for a few more hours I wake up soft as a dead snake. This makes me think that I am possibly not getting enough REM sleep which could possibly lead to psychological/focus issues. Also of note, I do toss and turn a lot. Sleep is of vital importance for hormone production and recovery of pretty much everything.
Another thing of note that I came across is that I haven’t been yawning much, even when tired. Now, yawning as I understand it has a direct relationship with dopamine which is interestingly enough related to sexual gratification. Of course, dopamine is also a product of sleep… I’m sure this isn’t news to most as a quick search here for dopamine merits quite a lot of results… I’ve yet to read them all. But it is interesting. Right now I can sit through videos of people and small animals yawning without a care and without yawning once. While before I remember how good yawning felt, but right now it’s like my brain doesn’t really care. (And also of interest, I was diagnosed with ADHD and “restless leg syndrome” way before fin.)
The last little bit of my observations is that pre fin when I was in the gym I was a bit of a screamer. Once I hit that wonderful pump my aggression would be at level:awesome and I would be known to let out a battle roar or hell, been known to bark and quite frankly ready to stick my dick in any woman that so much as existed. Now, I still work hard on the weights but the pleasure factor, aggression and lust have all been greatly reduced.
So yea, wow, fin really does a number on hormones and they should pluck that stuff off the streets and do some more studies. Secondly, it seems like for me boosting dopamine, testosterone, nitric oxide and improving quality of sleep would all be in order for a path to a full recovery. Of course, they would also have the added benefit of helping me reach greater gains with the weights too (Never a bad thing). Granted, messing with these things is still risky.
Now, to get to my question- I was thinking of giving it about another month before attempting to sup and adjust these factors as I’ve heard that it is very possible to recover naturally within 3 months and that those that do are considered not to actually have PFS. But, does anyone think I should jump the ball on this and go ahead and start? I know guys that when they cycle off their roids time is of the essence with their sups. [Though, I know little about steroids to be honest as I’ve always avoided it like the plague and honestly… had I not been so frazzled from a bad breakup I would have never tried fin to begin with…]
However, when I do I was thinking about doing a cycle of DHEA, tribulus –possibly Diesel Test for testosterone, (Not decided on a nitric oxide sup and am open to suggestions) Vitamin B6 and L-Phenylalanine for dopamine/sleep.
Additionally, I am going to try a few “sleep strategies” that I should be doing anyway such as taking at least 2 hours to unwind away from any tv’s or computer screens before bed. Be a good way for me to catch up on my reading anyway.
I was wondering if anyone had any input on my observations/sides or pretty much anything else I’ve said here. Browsing the forums most posters that I’ve noticed took the drug for a long time and those that didn’t seem to have recovered quickly, like within a few weeks. Still, I am remaining hopeful and optimistic as always.
