Question for Older Guys

I started taking propecial when I was about 20 and stopped about one and half-years ago. I’m now 26.

The lingering side-effect I have is my erection strength, but this may be natural.

Is there a natural change in erection strength from when men are in their late-teens, early twenties to their mid-twenties?

Thanks,

Josh

No Josh, it’s the Propecia, unless you’ve been diagnosed with a specific health problem that contributes to your case. You’d been blocking your DHT for 4.5 years, google this vital most powerful male androgen to find out how important it is for the normal functioning and maintenance of the genitilia. I wish I had before taking that rat poison, or VIOXX for your dick.

Its most likey still lingering effects of the post-fin prostate and androgen problems. However, just as your erections have been improving, so will your prostate.

I have been recommended a book all about improving and maintaining male sexual health, which I will tell you about once I get the title, and order it.
Things will still continue to get better for you Josh, and your erections will get stronger again! You just have to keep your prostate healthy and eat healthy for a few years.

How old are you Chris? Could you descibe your erection strenth before, on, and after propecia?

Thanks a lot,

Josh

I’m 37, I’d started taking Propecia when I was roughly 30 and ceased its use around 1.5 years ago. I had absolutely no problems in my twenties, we’re talking early in that decade as well as late. When I began taking Propecia I did notice a change with regards to the strength of my erections as well as a delayed and lack of response towards sexual arousal. I honestly thought it was my aging that was part of the problem, you know, now that I’m in my thirties type of feeling I’m no spring chicken any longer. I did suspect Propecia had something to do with it although I had that 2% figure ingrained in my head thinking what are the odds the side effects are happening to me. After a few years the sides do become worse and I couldn’t ignore my problem any longer and seriously considered stopping the drug especially after I had researched the many effects it has on one’s health. The one distressing issue is that the sexual sides are at their very worst after quitting the drug atleast in my case. If you go to my post in the blood test results section (NOV 11) you will observe that this drug has officially left me with tertiary hypogonadism as stated by my endo. It’s not as easy as saying it’s a prostate problem by the way, I had a LHRH test done that determined my hypothalamus isn’t triggering my pituitary hence no Testosterone, it literally throws your HPTA out of whack. I can’t believe this drug hasn’t been pulled yet, it’s going to harm many men and I’m living proof of it.

Just something to bring up to your next endo, perhaps this might be a reason why GnRH release was affected by Fin:
