pudendal neuropathy-runs in my family

Most of my fathers side of the family over 50 years of age suffers from neuropathy. I knew they all had leg pain and such but just found out their diagnosis. I was recently diagnosed with pudendal neuropathy. Considering how many in my family have this I am wondering if this is a clue to a genetic predisposition for Neuropathy that fin was the catalyst for. I am wondering how many of us have family with neuropathy?

What Propecia may have helped is to accelerate this process for you. You probably would have this condition when older anyways, but the drop in testosterone (did you have a drop in testosterone?) may have induced the early manifestation of the disease.

I don’t suppose the original poster is still around, but I wonder how such a specific neuropathy could run in a family. I wonder if actually it is just that disks are degenerating and impinging on nerves or something. Would love to hear if anyone knows about this.
