I forwarded my input to the doctor via the e-mail you provided. Thanks.
Sent my consent form.
I sent an email to see if I am eligible.
Good stuff. Come on chaps. One final push.
I know the score here. I’m a doctor and a scientist. I’m also a sufferer.
I still have problems convincing fellow colleagues and doctors I am a genuine sufferer of the horrific side effects of Finasteride.
We need to get this literature published.
We desperately need this.
Come on. A few more.

Yes, I just printed the three page “Research Consent Form” and will sign and fax the last page over, HOWEVER, there is no request for email or phone contact info, nor any questionaire, so how is he supposed to get in touch with me???
?Is there another form or questionaire, or is the whole study conducted via a live interview?
Thanks guys
Well I’m out…just got a reply from Dr.Irwig…negative due to TRT and prior AAS use
If you qualify:
- Email him the signed consent form at propeciastudy@gmail.com, or send in via Fax or Mail (include a phone # and email address he can reach you at).
2 He will contact you, send you questionnaire and setup phone interview details.
I got email dont qualify for use of Saw Palmetto.
I have done the telephone interview with Dr. Irwig yesterday evening. It was very relieving to be in such an important progression.
I live in Istanbul/Turkey. I do not know if I am the only sufferer on this board from Turkey. But only Istanbul has 15 million population. Thousands and thousands of young men out there who are craving to care for their hair health. They can reach finasteride from any local pharmacy without a doctor’s prescription. Likely substantial amounts of men are suffering from fin sides, but lack of knowledge about general medicine and lack of language skills prevents them from connecting to this forum. This is of course a fact for several countries. I strongly believe this research will acquaint several others about the problem by attracting the interest of public and media.
Thank you all
I have done the telephone interview with Dr. Irwig yesterday evening too.
I wish you all the best Doctor.

It pains me to admit that I am suffering from this horrific drug, and that I didn’t thoroughly read this website before taking Fin; however, I am going to send in my consent form in the hopes that everyone afflicted by this drug receives the help they deserve.
Signed, sealed & sent. I hope to be eligible (& see no reason why I wouldn’t be). EVERYONE should do this. What finally compelled me to print off and sign the form was the thought that if in one, five or ten years time when we may well have a cure, the thought of being able to say ‘I was apart of the initial study that initiated the investigation that found the cause & the cure’ is (& should be for everyone) a huge incentive to take part. Realistically, the fact is, we all have the chance to be part of history here.
Seriously, it takes three minutes. After having spent $100’s to see doctors who are skeptical and ultimately not interested in addressing the complex problems that we’re dealing with, it is apparent that the best course of action we can take is to participate in this study. DO IT. In the long run, it should be far more productive than trawling bodybuilding/ED sites for information about vitamin supplements whilst refreshing the ‘Recovery Stories’ sub-forum.
Thankyou to both Mew & Dr. Irwig for coordinating and publicising this study too.
Did my interview with Dr. Irwig on Skype last night. I would say, in total, with the interview, questionnaire, and consent form, I invested about 40-45 minutes. Guys, it’s REALLY easy… DO THIS!!
How many subjects do we have? Are we there yet Dr. Irwig?
I sent in my signed consent form today. I hope we’re almost there.
