prostatitis treatment in Kos island - summer 2011

Completely agree. Now that you are there there is no point wondering/arguing whether its propecia or something else. Just go with the treatment and you will know in the coming months whether it worked for you or not. Please keep us updated. Best wishes!

Hi Claro, any update on how the treatment is going?

No updates at the moment, anyway improvements, if there are, are supposed to occur a few weeks after the treatment : as much as I understood, prostate irritation, in that approach, has unabled the penis nerves to work properly, and it takes time, once prostate has been cleared, for the body environment to adapt to these better conditions.
Some here say they get morning erections ; since I had not lost them, I cannot say I have improved on that point.
What I can say is that the pain in my ass has improved, because the massages are quite ‘percussive’, nothing like a relaxing moment !
Also reaction to antibiotics is sometimes a real problem. It’s always better to have been the less exposed to them before starting a treatment here, because of bacterial possible adaptation. Anyways, that doesn’t prevent some painful reactions of the body (some really suffer in the tendons, and can hardly move themselves from a few blocks during the day).

Updates please. Thanks.

I have had 23 treatments so far. It goes really deep in the prostate now. I have almost no sign of infection resistance (my prostatic fluids keep transparent), and the doctor is confident that we shall get rid of the prostatitis within the scheduled time.
I have almost everyday strong erections at the end of the night. I had never lost them, thought, but maybe not that strong. I think that being on holiday with all the sleeptime I need helps, but also the therapy.
Yet during daytime, sexual thoughts are still not followed by any erection. I still need sexual contact to get aroused.
To many of us here, as we reach the last therapies, he doc proposes a physiological therapy, after a triplex exam. Which means, prostatitis being the cause of ED, our erection process may have been disabled for a long time and needs some practical work done to settle again.
The triplex is a doppler exam to check the penile veins blood flow during a provoked erection (injection + vacuum pump). This completes the organic approach. Then some follow a penile rehab program with the pump, injections and little doses of cyalis,
I’m not sure I’ll have this exam done at the end of my treatment next week, I’ll let you know.

How much do the treatments cost?

each of us paid 3000 euros for the diagnosis and 4 weeks treatments

And for a complete non distorted overall view, I sould say I try to swim one hour every day in the sea (it is the only sport authorised under antibiotics treatment).
I might also say that I lose more hair, in spite of the beautiful weather.
And I have a better libido than before : from time to time, when thinking about fantasies or some true events of my former life, I might get some erotical emotion which I wouldn’t even feel before. Without this being enough in itself to raise my pecker, though.
Well, this is far from what I am expecting as a recovery, but I owe to objectivity to mention it.

For a few days, I have been prescribed carnitine (every 2 days) and vit. E (daily).

And I have my difficulty to breathe back like in february when it was the sharpest moment of my crisis. Maybe the hot weather without a bit of wind during the last days is to blame.

Hi Claro any updates a month later? Any improvements etc? thanks

Hi,

I’m still waiting for the last lab results to come (bloodwork + spermoculture).

I cannot say I feel any improvements.
Well, since I have changed my diet (no alcool, no sugar, no carbs), I might be in a better shape than before. But I’m not done with libido problems.

Keep you updated with bloodworks etc

thanks mate

Well, in the distance of 4 months now, I cannot say there has been some determining change after that treatment. I still have low libido, but it’s hard to be sure it’s as low as before.
Anyway, no miracle for me.

Thank you Claro for being brave enough to try out this possible treatment and being honest in your findings. Thank you.
