Prostatitis treatment as a novel insight into Finasteride related problems

hi im booked for july would be nice to meet som1 der at the same time, 11 july, its gota be done, if it dont work then atleasts others will knw and if it does then more of u guys can try

I am just going to pose some questions:

  1. directly to solonjk: can you not convince any other propecia victims that are seeing the doctor in athens to post on here? Iā€™m sure it wouldnā€™t be too much trouble.

  2. It seems that solonjk was incredibly hard hit by side effects:

ā€œI have been in bed for more than 22 hours a day, not being able even to lift my head and watch tv, and that feeling has been around for 10 straight weeks after doing 1 hour of moderate exercise in gymā€

ā€œi can barely ejaculate once in a month without feeling dull pains or numbness and all the rest of the crazy symptomsā€

How do we know that all of us require this doctorā€™s technique? if this is prostatis/ prostate inflammation why not try standard techniques to relieve prostatis symptoms?

  1. these antibiotics that are used, are they anything like Cipro? because going by askapatient, these drugs could have there own very severe side effects.

Just for the record, I believe this theory probably more than any other. We all have bad sexual problems but many of us also have decent hormone profiles, so what is the hidden cause? the prostate could well be it. Also, when I think back to my crash, it was as if that whole area had just been obliterated, I couldnā€™t piss properly, ejaculate, excrete - everything went totally haywire. The thing is, why havenā€™t these BLATANT prostate issues carried on. The only thing which could absolutely be a prostate issue for me now is watery semen; I donā€™t get any prostate pains really, my urine flow is fine, no noticeable stinging or anything like that.

I am excited to see how this progresses over the next year if I am not recovered by then. I just checked price flights to Athens from London and they were as cheap as Ā£70. I have already fucking spent a good Ā£500-Ā£600 on supplements and meds. Also, if this does progress and more of us become interested - there needs to be a thread that is stickied outlining the doctorā€™s information, the treatments, timescales and rough prices. Obviously Mew is a very busy man, but I just feel like some of the most important things are not highlighted enough on here.

Oh, another thing - I saw the user Boston say his theory was that finasteride shrinks the prostate making it easier to become infected. Is this possible at all? obviously itā€™s just speculation by a user on a forum but it sort of sounds legit. Having sat down today and really thought about what has happened to me sexually, I really do believe many of us are dealing with a sever and complicated prostate issue.

I posted the other day that I had a prostate size of 19cc and you said it should be 12 - 13cc. Now youā€™re saying 25cc is most possibly harbouring inflamation.

I am 30 years old. Is a prostate of 19cc indicative of inflamation for my age? This is a very important piece of information I need. Thanks Solon, youā€™re doing a stellar job with all these questions.

.

Solonjk, do you have a rough figure on what this has cost you up to yet?

Just to throw it out there, with all the talk of these powerful and expensive antibiotics, and unique bacteria and so onā€¦ Even if this does help, itā€™s all a bit scary.

WTF?

Youā€™re a straight shooter Solonjk Iā€™ll give you thatā€¦

.

Solonjk can you please answer my question regarding my prostate size? Iā€™m a little nervous about itā€¦

Yea I donā€™t think using a toothbrush is a good idea at all. If you really have to try it yourself, you can get proper tools for prostate massage on the net. I would have thought the end of a toothbrush would be too sharp and you could risk cutting yourself in there and getting that infected. Nasty.

Solon, do you think if most of us took cipro and HC for a few weeks we would recover, as long as our inflammation isnt staph? I know that you yourself felt recovery, but you stopped taking it to soonā€¦ Which probably caused the bacteria to become immune to it and grow?

You might not believe me but iā€™ll answer for solon here: nope. the shitā€™s still there and itā€™s gonna regrow all the stuff even stronger than you already had. this is pretty basic common sense if you have heard how bacteria reacts to antibiotics like ever.
i donā€™t think solonjk meant that in his case the only reason he got back to baseline was staph, itā€™s actually because his prostrate isnā€™t cleaned and cured from infection/inflammation.

though again, correct me if iā€™m wrong on this solonjk.

Solonjk, I have read your past posts and it really does seem like you were extremely sick. I know you had sexual side effects, but did you also have the mental side effects like emotional blunting? If so how are you coming along?

This may explain why users like ā€˜19ā€™ have felt better on Doxyxycline?

I am taking it 100 mg per day at the moment just to see what happens, along with my excellent probiotics of course.
