Its unbelievably sad that people like this are ending their own lives because of fucking propecia. How men who are great, educated and contributing members of society having their lives destroyed and resorting to suicide while Merck and the federal government stands by and does nothing even though the medical evidence is out there. And the Moronic medical community… most of them don’t even recognize the condition and brush off people who are suffering. Infuriating… Because more can be done but isn’t.
That’s really it in a nutshell. Sadly, some corporations clearly will literally get away with murder if they have been enabled to do so. We can try and hit them in their pockets with a public awareness campaign to show the world what they have wilfully done, but it is an uphill battle with many disparate pockets of campaigner victims of different drugs winning only localised payouts at best without the dots being joined up by the wider society as to the extent of the crimes being wrought on the general public. For real change to happen governments have to genuinely serve their people and not corporate entities. They must be made to see that not to at least make inroads in bringing real accountability to the pharmaceutical industry is tantamount to complicity to murder of those they allege to serve.
This is a tragic end to a life of someone who had contributed so much to society. I hope his family and loved ones see justice for this crime.
I also would like to say that I think there has been too much open discussion of suicide on this forum lately. We all know this is an awful and for some a life threatening condition, but the option of taking your own life should not be regularly thrown out there as you don’t know what effect this may be having on other guys having to endure this.
I agree with Luckfax, there’s been a lot of talk of suicide and we need to get some perspective about that. PFS is a horrible condition but in many cases it is something you can bear and overcome.

Good points there and resources. The problem is the depression propecia causes, apart from the sexual and physical side effects is for the most part (with few exceptions) untreatable by anything currently on the market in terms of antidepressants. Thus most men are forced to suffer and hope the cognitive side effects fade with time. But for many this can be a very long time. For me it was 14 months before I even felt like I could “operate” mentally on a daily basis following the crash. Everyday was litterally a life and death struggle just to function by that I mean I had people even doing the basic stuff for me like bringing me food and helping me with basic household chores. It took me 14 months before I even felt ok enough to just do normal daily activities.
So its hard for guys to put everything in perspective when you can’t even cognitively function day to day.
