As I was contemplating our situation yesterday I thought of an analogy which I think fits. We’re all prisoners stuck inside individual jail cells separated from each other. Within each prisoner’s cell there is a button that, when pressed simultaneously by a majority of prisoners, will release everyone from the prison. Some inmates are yelling at the other convicts to press the button so we can all get out. But many prisoners ignore this advice and instead try to use nail clippers to file through the bars on their cell, or accept their fate and lay in their jail bed all day, or attempt to dig a hole through the cement floor. It’s time for us all to firmly press the button.
