Pretty much back to normal

I’ve been on Rogaine for about 2 years, but no real help, 9 months ago I ordered propecia over the internet. It worked amazing. 4 months ago I got a prescription and it worked even better, however the side effects really begin to kick in.

After reading these forums and experiencing the horrible side effects (mostly sexual) I decided to stop about 14 days ago. For whatever reason the side effects seem to have almost completely disppeared at this point, It’s truly amazing how much better I feel.

I would say perhaps it was mental given how fast everything has returned to normal, but I would question it given I was not even sure all the side effects existed until I experienced them and did some research.

I know my story is not the typical one on these forums, I have read a lot of horror stories which is sad. Some one summed it up perfectly what I felt, it was like there was not a connection from my brain to my penis anymore.

Anyway, keep up hope. I thought I would submit this just in case there is one more person thinking about stopping. It’s sad the side effects were so bad because the pill did work amazingly, and it sucks to have to choose one or the other. It’s fantastic to feel like my old self again.

I am glad I found this forum as it was truly the final bit of information I needed to link propecia to my issues.

That’s the way it’s supposed to go. If you continue on as normal, great. If things take a turn for the worse in coming weeks/months per the FAQ at top of site, then this is the forum for you.

Most likely everything should continue on as normal, as what we experience is a more rare reaction to discontinuing the medication. How rare, nobody knows.

Either way, glad you feel better!

Thanks for that, yeah, that makes sense. I have seen others where there problems went away for a bit and then came back. Whats truly amazing is that the side effects slowly begin, so it’s almost you don’t realize until months later. Then when you finally feel better you realize HOW MUCH BETTER you feel.

I am just very happy that I found this forum. My post is really intended for those thinking about quiting, please, just get off this drug. I hope and pray that those symptoms do not return, and I am glad I was only on it for less then 1 year
