pre-workout, proteinshake vs the gym

I have a couple of questions about using pre-workout, proteinshake and the question is, is it save to use/take it without making my PFS worse?

For the proteinshakes, to avoid dairy, do i necessarely need to get glutenfree example? is it even save to drink?

For a average simple Pre-workout (no caffeine) with the most common ingredients like creatine, beta alanine, taurine and BCAA and more. is it harmless for a PFS to take this before going to the gym? I already taking it and notice more strength and pump, but energy stays the same, maybe little bit more, but overal much less energy then before i got PFS. Before PFS the pre-workouts i took gave me much better effect then now.

Why i using it now is to have that little extra push to get a better training at the gym. my dieet is not that real clean, so i cant feel or note the difference of changing my symptoms that much. My symptoms are kinda every day at the same level, and thats mentaly not that bad i have to say.

The things i face everyday are:

emotional a bit flat
facial expression not happy, a bit depressed expression.
talking thinking the same time not that good, strumbling over words.
everyday my deep sleep is mostly from 00.00 to 05.00 after that trouble getting back in sleep.
and libido and morning/spontanious erections much worse.

i am now 4 years clean and must tell that mentaly i am better, more peacefull with myself and erection and sensation better,erection is now at 90% to 100% ONLY when i masturbate. spontanious 100% erections only ocure in nights or morning when i do propper weight traning to boost my metabolisme or when i am 1 or 2 weeks off masturbating. unfortunatily my penis en testes shrinked aswell.

i dont use anything to improve my sleep.

I tried ZMA a while ago but made it worse, get wild dreams and no deep sleep.

I supplement with pre workouts because gym is my only real hobby. I’ve messed around with a few pre workouts and the best i’ve found for myself was Amino Energy by Optimum Nutrition. Don’t crash as hard on this stuff compared to others. They also list every ingredient they use compared to other companies who just list their ingredients as a proprietary blend - which mind you the supplement companies aren’t heavily regulated which can see some pre workouts like BPM The One having speed etc. in their blend until it’s later discovered… lol (will add, that shit was something else - the concentration was insane but the crash was fucked).

the Amino Energy by Optimum Nutrition has caffeine, its not that much but still. all i read on this forum is don’t take caffeine.
Plus this pre-workout has green-tea.

i read an articel about Green tea extract that increases your Testosteron and DHT. what is your meaning about the caffeine and green thea to a PFS user.

And what proteinshakes do you take? i really didn’t notice any differince between glutenfree and normal one.

I take casein by optimum after dinner and just a whey protein that’s stocked in the fridge at the gym post workout. I can’t see all of these dietary requirements such as gluten free etc harming you. Sometimes you just got to go with whatever - I’m sure removing green tea etc won’t heal you lol.

so you dont go with a strict dieet to deal with your PFS?

One thing i noticed a time ago when i toke pre-workout with lots of caffeine in it, my vision, awarness, concentration, sharpness, better thinking gave me a boost. i stopped when i got sleep problems.

edit: i see you used propecia just for 1 day? lol then you dont have PFS, right?

As much of a lol as it is, I do have pfs from one pill - crazy right?? I have improved substantially since the first couple of weeks when i had pfs - It has been a year and a half since i had taken it.

If you are having sleep problems then stay away from it or train early mornings - i train in the mornings around 8 so sleep fine.

I’m not a strict dieter but i do generally eat yams and chicken breast with some broccoli throughout the week and try and follow the 80:20 rule whereby i try and eat clean and then come weekend I can have a re-feed/ binge day and go out drinking.

I’m working out generally 5 or 6times a week taking pre workout.

Do what works for you. If you are crashing hard find a different supplement. I personally find ON works well for me.
